Just love this little mixer! It does everything I need it to do. Quality construction, great features and produces superb sound. Paired this with a Behringer powered speaker and very inexpensive Behringer XM8500 mics (which are fantastic also) to give my wife and granddaughter a system at home to practice singing for church. Also loved the free fast shipping from zZounds.

Peavey PV8 Mixer Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It's just great for home studio applications, I have everything running through it to my computer's audio interface, the preamps are pretty nice for this price range. Great for small live situations as well.
Sound
Sounds pretty clean, it's just great for small applications I need it for. Have used it on stage for my own personal acoustic setup and used it in the studio, the preamps in it are better than what came with my Line 6 Toneport UX1 audio interface. So I use it to record microphones through it until I can afford some expensive preamps.
Features
It is a basic mixer. It doesn't come with any effects, which is great, because I never like the effects in cheap mixers. I really do think that all the money from the effects went into the preamps. You can send to any effects processor from this thing, so I really don't mind not having some crappy effects to pump up the price. It has quite a few in's and out's, however, you can only use each channel for either microphone or line, not both. Don't go thinking this is an 8 channel mixer. However it has two stereo channels, so you could use it as a 6 channel if you wanted to. Plus there is also an rca in to use for an extra instrument - you can't adjust the volume or anything to this one though.
Ease of Use
It's very straight forward to use, you can send to control room, phones, main outs, rca outs and effect sends are also included.
Quality
Great quality for the price. Would buy the same one should anything happen to it. I have used it in a lot of situations.
Value
Best 4 channel mixer in this price range, I think.
Manufacturer Support
I don't know about support, it's been working just fine for 3 years now.
The Wow Factor
Yea, it's a sexy mixer. Hehe.
