These speakers have years of planned use in front of them. If I need more punch, I will seriously consider simply adding more of these cabs.
Sound
Nice clear and clean sound. I usually boost the high end a bit, and maybe the low end a little depending on the application. With the minor EQ'ing these babies are just fine. The sound is crisp and defined.
Features
Seems like your normal PA cab to me. Two 1/4 inch inputs for daisey chaining.
Quality
Very well made. I love the lightweight aspect. You can't beat being able to carry TWO 15" speakers into the venue at THE SAME TIME by yourself.
Value
Easily the best buy on a 15" PA speaker.
Manufacturer Support
Peavey has an on-line forum that can answer most of your questions. I've never had any gear problems.
The Wow Factor
It's light! In the PA world, that's sexy.

"Lightweight pa speaker with a monster sound!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Like I said I have used these for quite a while now without any signs of wear. They sound just as good now as the first day I bought them.
Sound
These speakers rock. Have a great bass response for a lighweight speaker cab. It may take a little tweaking dependine on your power mixer but otherwise exudes a full tonal range with exceptional clarity.
Quality
I've these baby's cranked to their limit without distortion of any kind. Awesome.Used 2/3 nights a week for almost a year and they have never let me down.
Value
For the money.............. these are the dogs bollocks.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it.
The Wow Factor

I have Peavey 1800 subs over 10 years old that will shake the trimmings on the pool tables throughout your whole joint using a peavy cs800 amp. I use the pr light 15's with'm and provide sound for local DJ's(vinal mostly) of all different genres, and I use'm for my electronic drum kit. I like'm cause they're price aswell as sound is superb.
Sound
crisp highs, clear mids, punchy lows, I use a QSC1450-350w-per channel at 8ohms wich is Ideal for these although I have used them with a cheap powererd mixer and they sounded great.
Features
no speakon but, not needed unless you only have speakon connections and then even speakon is primarily used for clarity of more intense wattage applications.
Quality
I have read a few reviews about complaints of the horns being flaud and even blown-0ut apon arrival. I will have to agree that there is a manufacturing flaw within the final assembly department concerning the mounting of the horn in the encloser. The day after they arrived I was using them in the radio station and my buddy said that the horn on one of them was blown.(buzzing sound) I however have allways had faith in the value of Quality meets Quantity combined with an ideal price tag that Peavy has allways delivered. So, I took the encloser off the stand to notice a slight jiggle clunk sound when I placed it on the floor. I then unscrewed the back panal off and reached up to feel the horndriver. The horn apparrently had not been screwed completly to snug and I simply screwed it in till it was. Righty tighty lefty loosy. Never had a problem since. sounds great.
Value
For the Quality meets Quantity the price is unbeatable
Manufacturer Support
Didn't need'm cause there horn is designed superb just maybe need to have better training for final assembly. hear good stuff about'm though.

"PEAVY, THE LAST BRAND YOU WILL EVER BUY!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I DID NOT EXPECT TO CHANGE FROM YORKVILLE TO PEAVY... BUT I DID AND SO DID THE REST OF MY FAMILY AND PARTNERS IN MY DJ BUSINESS. NOW IF I JUST COULD GET A PEAVY SPONSOR.
Sound
THE SOUND IS AWESOME. PERFECT SPEAKER FOR OUTDOOR PARTIES, HALLS THAT HOLD 300 PEOPLE OR LESS. WHEN I USED THEM AT A GIG, MY FAMILY WAS WORRIED THAT THE SPEAKERS WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH, I TRICKED THEM IN THINKING THERE WERE MORE SPEAKERS HOOKED UP, WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THAT A PAIR PR15'S WERE THE ONES ONLY HOOKED UP, THEY ACTUALLY WENT WITHIN SEVERAL DAYS TO PURCHASE THESE SPEAKERS FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL USE.
Features
I HAD TO PURCHASE STANDS SEPERATELY.
Ease of Use
EASY, EASY, EASY.... I ACTUALLY HAVE MY 11 YR OLD SON HOOKING UP MY SYSTEM AND NOTHING COULD BE EASIER THAN PEAVY
Quality
I TELL YOU WHAT, I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO THIS, BUT IT RAINED ON ME AT A PARTY AND I WAS UNDER THE CARPORT AND MY SPEAKERS WERE IN EVERY CORNER AND THEY GOT WET... WELL I DRIED THEM AND WORKED GOOD AS NEW... NOW PROBLEM.. LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE.

"Great for price, but my Yorkvilles are much better overall!"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
My reasons have been stated as to why I would not own another set. But anything Peavey is still good to have.
Sound
When I picked up the box, I thought there was nothing in there. Wow was it light. I guess for that price, you cannot make it sound any better. But my Yorkville speakers still crush the peavey. Nothing personal. But once again, loved how light they are. I also went to a dance hall this past weekend and listened to them. The guy surprisingly had a yorkville sub and the two peavey speakers. It actually sounded like junk to an experienced ear. by themselves, they have an overall decent sound for an average person. But to take them into a real gig that needs higher end stuff, they are not suited for it. I heard way too much muffled bass coming out of the speakers, no real mids to talk about, and the highs seemed like they did not blend. So once again, great for the cost for regular gigs, but I would never choose them for the real deal things.. You can buy cheaper Gemini speakers and even though they are not better than these, just the fact that you are paying more than $100 less makes them better if that makes sense. So not unhappy, but not happy either for different reasons.
Quality
Really nice look. But the nuts on the back come off too easy. In fact, I have heard this from a couple other people. But what do you expect for that price.
Value
Even with my opinion.. It's a great deal. Just not the best choice.
The Wow Factor
Great appeal for looks.

"Try the PR15 Sub with these!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
If you really want these to sound even better, Add the matching lite PR/Pro 15 Sub. I flipped the sub over, swithing the rubber feet to the other end and flipping the grill over so the emblems are right. Now the vent is at the bottom of the sub and the pole mount is at the top. I made some short poles and mounted these PR15 mains on top, and they look great... kind of a "mirror image" look, and the subs don't look like mains at first glance.

Peavey PR15 Pro Lite Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Good deal for mobile PA. Cheap and light. Was planning to use and abuse and reload the cab with good drivers when they go but the sound is actually decent.
Sound
The sound is a bit on the crisp side and weighted towards the upper mids to my ears. But with EQ sounds fine. The LF driver seems to handle exaggerated bass but the crossover isn't set up that way out of the box obviously. Used it with a bass guitar and tube amp head and was surprised how low it went. Not super tight but wouldn't be fair to compare it to a cab with inch thick wood sides and weighing 5 times as much.
Features
1/4" with parallel output. Would definitely pay a few extra bux for Speakon.
Quality
I didn't have any sonic problems others seem to be having. But I decided to take off the Peavey plates from the grill and noticed that they over tightened the screws and it cracked the threading right off because it's plastic. Doesn't affect performance but I would have designed it differently.
The Wow Factor
Really clean look without weird looking port holes and venting. Wish the horn exit area was smooth instead of the textured finish. I find the handles to be rather bizarre. I think they expect you to hold it right up against your chest. The balance is a little off but not a big deal because the speaker are pretty light. Could have made hand hold much more rounded and comfortable.
