10 out of 10Feature:
The noise gate is a nice addition to this amp, especially with the gain on 10. I love the fact that each channel can be dialed in to it's own volumn. Then foot switch has quick action with almost no hesitation!
Quality:
I haven't had this amp long enough to know how sturdy it is, but with my past experience with Peavey it should last a long time, and you can't beat the warranty this monster comes with which shows you that they expect it to last! My fellow musicians have said nothing but good remarks from their experience with this amp!
Value:
When looking for my new amp I came to the conclusion that there is NO OTHER amp I would consider. The price is right for a 3 channel amp of this caliber. But the sound is priceless!
Desirability:
The amp looks great! The Chrome face-plate shines and is better looking that the pictures on the internet! The whole amp looks as rugged as it sounds!
Sound:
I have been playing for 25 years. I have played through every amp out there. It doesn't matter if I'm using my Les Paul, Strat, or anything else, this JSX has tone like no other amp in it's class.
Tha Bottom end rules the stage, and with the 3 independant volume controls my leads shine thru!
Ease of Use:
This amp is stage ready right from the box. I did not have to play with the controls to dial in "my" sound. The controls are laid out perfectly, and with a few tweeks my sound is set and I don't have to ever touch them again, just hit the foot switch to change channels and let it rip!
Support:
Peavey is one company that stands behind their products and I am positive they will be there if and when I need them to be!
Overall:
I believe I have found my amp that I will use for the rest of my playing life. The sound is the best I have heard. The clarity of the clean channel is flawless and would only be enhanced by any effect of the user's choice! I myself, just use the amp for my tone, with nothing added! This amp dials in MY SOUND!

this thing is a tank. i took it on tour and it lasted with out a case.. no scratches, dents, broken tubes. anything.
Value:
a little pricey but worth it in the long run.
Desirability:
the chrome is sexy. i must say i took it all off and had the face plate covered in tweed. but either way its hot.
Sound:
to be short and blunt you can make it sound like anything you want. great tone and great clear ch. the od channels just scream to.
Ease of Use:
the head sounds great so its really hard for this amp to sound bad. knobs are straight forward.
Overall:
i really do love this amp and i have played threw a lot of them (different head) before i actually bought this. most amps have there ups and downs but this was just overall a good head.

10 out of 10Feature:
has every thing you would expect on a $1800 mesa or even a $2000 marshall. also has a built in noise gate which is rare on any head.
Quality:
This or the triplle xxx are probaly the best two heads for less than $1600. its built solid. like any peavey it last for years and years.
the construction is similar to the xxx, which i own and know for a fact will take a licken and keeep on kicken.
Value:
witht the exception of the tripple xxx its the best head out there for this kind of money. note: the triple xxx is good to just a diffrent style and tone
Desirability:
i love the sound of this thing i going to take out a loan tomorrow to buy one.
Sound:
this amp has all the tone of a $2500 marshall and is alot more versitile. Ive played it at the store here in town ive played it with les pauls. fender strats and teles. and a number of peavey guitars even some cheap ones ande it sounds good with all.
Support:
never used but ive heard only good things.
Overall:
there have been better heads made this is the best ive heard in recent years. this head has kind of a marshall tone to it{you can get other sounds too} if your looking more for mesa type sound buy the tripple xxx.

10 out of 10Feature:
I love that it has no reverb, heavey reverb is usually just hiding something anyway. The noise gate, prescence and resonance are simple and effective. Nice wide pedal, no stomping the wrong channel with my size 13's
Quality:
Only had it a week, but after 22 years of playing and countless amp heads and combo's It is the toughest looking S.o.b. I've seen thick knobs and swithces, metal mesh on the front and back.
Value:
I played everything within 600 dollars of this amp at the store. The jsx is the most versatile 3 stage amp out there, and cheaper than the glamour names who usually have 3 stages with only 1 decent channel. The clean on this amp is wonderfull.
Desirability:
I thought it looked cheesy in the pictures, but it looks a lot better in person. All my freinds seem to like the look, plus they say it just suits me. I've owned mesa and marshall, but I always seem to come back to peavey. It looks like a peavey.
Sound:
the clean shines, you cant distort it. the crunch is thick without being as sharp and shrill as most high gain amps are today. Even at a lower volume than the other instruments in my band, every note shines through. Very expressive, truly conveys the players style.
Support:
I have not needed support from peavey yet, but then again I never needed it whith the 4 previous peavey amps I have owned, always dependable, I assume their support would be dependable also.
Overall:
as long as it runs I will use it. a great tube amp is a great tube amp, and you can always ad on with stomp boxes or rack units. By itself it is a straight ahead precise machine that allows the listener to hear the player and not just the notes, even whith gain levels that are more than anyone should ever need.
