Right out of the box, these drums impress! The packaging was very secure and well thought out.The Remo heads that come with the kit are decent, the PDP hardware is solid and sturdy and polished to a brilliant mirror finish. And after inspecting every square inch of each drum, I'm proud to own this set! The maple shells are superbly constructed, and the finish really impressed me. Not a single blemish. And they are gorgeous!
Sound
As with any drum, take some time and tune these up properly. I did so, and am happy with each drums tonality and warmth.
Features
The ball and socket style tom mounts work great! Lock em down where you like, and they don't move!!
Ease of Use
It's a drum kit...
Quality
The fit and finish is superb! !
Value
I'm doubtful you'll find this level of quality in any other brand of kit at this price-point. I'm truly impressed!

Just got the kit, in perfect condition. Haven't had to deal with manufacturer support.
The Wow Factor
The wow factor would have to be the finish. I mean, everything about this kit is quality, but the finish really is stunning!!And the extra lugs, bolts and washers, drumset dust cover and sticks tells me the manufacturer wants to keep their customers happy. Works for me!

DW does not put its logo on something unless they know its good, and this kit is nutting but good. It tunes easily even with the provided heads from the factory. The kick drum has a beautiful thump to it. The tom mountings are solid and easy to adjust. It even has a boom cymbal stand holder in the tom mounts. PDP sends you a kick drum pillow and a drum tuning key. The drums are amazing craftsmanship I can't complain about them.

Fantastic Set for the price. Great sound and quality. The only thing I would improve are the memory gadgets for the Bass mounted toms.

The hardware brackets that attach the toms to the kick are a TERRIBLE design. It's a bracket that fits over four of the shell lug attachments, with plastic/rubber rings that fit around those attachments, which make ALL KINDS of vibratory rattling noise when you hit the toms. If you want a clean recording, STAY AWAY from this kit.

Excellent
Sound
The sound of these drums are great. The Kick sounds extremely good. They are all maple and sound it. The beauty of the Pacific series is that they are DW quality wood and finishes but produced by machine instead of by hand. Some of the hardware may not be as heavy duty but if you are like me and take care of your gear it is not a problem.
