"4th ovation guitar"

Just ordered last week and am very impressed with sound and quality. I previously owned a ovation 12 string and also (believe it was a model 256)elite. It had laminated top and sounded very tinny. Also the fretboard starting pulling away from the neck after less than a year. I had it replaced under warranty and the second one started having the same issue. The quality on this new elite is flawless, and sounds just as good as all the solid spruce top dreadnoughts i currently own. Got it on a price match and payment plan. Couldn't be happier!

"Ovation CE Celebrity Elite Mid-Depth"

Excellent guitar in MHO
Sound
Projection is not as loud as the Celebrity Standard ( round soundhole) However, I love the sound of the Elite, it was a character of it's own. I'm still tweaking my EQ's for the tone I'm looking for, I'm almost there, I use a Laney LC65 acoustic amp.
Features
The built-in tuner not my favourite thing it does tune it to standard. I does do the job.
Ease of Use
Pretty simple just adjust the eq and volume. I'll mention the action here. It was good from the factory the action was very good, I change the D'Addario EJ11 out with the D'Addario NB 12-52 Balanced Mention strings, I highly recommend these strings they will take you act from goodoto excellent, if your oguitar is set up reasonable well from the factory. I got mine here from zZounds.
Quality
Quailty has became exceptionally better for Chicom Ovations. I also have a Celebrity Standard CS24 and it suffers from what is called the Chinese Hump Syndrome, horrible Hump in the fret board, about where it joins the body. It's not present in the Elite! Excellent job Ovation!
Value
Excellent value! Get guitar, in MHO. It is definitely a step above the Celebrity Standard
Manufacturer Support
Have never used it
The Wow Factor
I have to give this to fininsh of the wood on this guitar! And the epelets(I believe that's what they're called) just bring out the beauty of this guitar, I will mention the unplugged sound again, I love it it ihas it's own unique voice compared to the Celebrity Standard (round sound hole). And I'd you have short stubby fingers like mine no problem!

Fast Shipping! Very well packed! There was a minor dent on the corner of the shipping box -The great thing is that zZounds shipped the guitar in a well packed box inside another box. The outer was damage but not the one where the guitar came in. I'm thankful for that. I picked it up and couldn't put it down. Just sounded so great I wanted to try different songs!
Sound
Great sound! Very smooth! I picked it up and couldn't put it down.
Features
The built in tuner is a very handy feature. I used the Guitar's Built in tuner to tune the guitar right out of the box, and then I compared it to a pedal tuner I have and it was right on. Will definitely be using this feature a lot on the go.
Ease of Use
The neck is not as wide as other guitars I've owned. Perfect for those with short fingers/small hands. Or for those who are still mastering their finger stretching. For me, it was effortless using power and bar chords.
Quality
Right at glance it looks beautiful. Close up inspection: There are 2 minor scratches on the back of the neck. There a slight un-even line on the paint right above the trim part. The only thing that I can think of in regards to lasting, is the decorative wood part on the front of the guitar that is glued on. I leave in Washington State and I know what the harsh weather can do to wood. I think it's just a matter of taking care of it. Overall, Great product!
The Wow Factor
The sound!!! I was really amazed by the sound coming out!!

"Remarkable Sound"

The tone of the CE44 Celebrity Elite is so much fuller of a sound than any other acoustic guitar I have played. I haven’t even plugged it in yet. Normally, I play bass so am intrigued as to the low-end of this instrument. If you are thinking of purchasing one, stop thinking about it and go buy it!

"Great looking guitar"

The outward appearance is impressive. If you are looking for a great unamped sound, forget it. Not good. After removing the back plate for a look inside, it is easy to see why. Amped, it sounds great. Unamped, like an old archtop. No resonance at all. Otherwise, probably worth the price but I would not buy another. I bought it mostly for the uniqueness.

Well, the first one came, and it had a problem with the saddle being too low. I had got it at a discounted price, as it was a minor blemish. When zZounds couldn’t get a hold of Ovation, they sent me out a brand new one...and for the same price. Now that’s customer service. I had my brand new guitar in a week. They were very fast and courteous. I will definitely buy from zZounds again. And I am going to buy another Ovation for my son. The Ovation that they sent me was set up perfectly out of the box.

I have played Gibson Martin and Taylor guitars but I keep coming back to Ovation. They have a special sound that I cant find with other guitars. This Ovation celebrity arrived quickly and was playable right out of the box. Th intonation is right on and the action is right where I like it. An wow, Just look at it. I will buy from zZounds again.

I have been playing off and on since I was twelve years old, I am 47 now.
