"The first ovation I ever considered buying which was within my means. I would recommend this guitar to anyone that has desired"

Im sorry, These questions are exhausting to me. I cant see the future, but I would replace this model with another like it or another ovation similar but an upgrade. maybe the same but with the ovation multiple soundholes. The thing I like least most about it is it did not come with a good protective case.
Sound
Sounds great. Have tried different ovation Guitars and loved the playability of all but did not care for chords strummed. They sounded hollow and lacked tone, and all med. or deep bowls would slide off my lap. With the solid cedar top this guitar sounds like any guitar made of all tonewood. does not have that ovation "buzz." Verry mellow. Great for fingerpicking. Contour back makes this the most comfortable guitar I have ever held. and it stays put in my lap. One thing. they hung the E solo string a little close to the edge. I slide it off now and again. not a big problem.
Features
Guitar came with a gigbag which is good for keeping dust off but not much else. ordered a hard case for max. protection. Plan on keeping this one for a while. Electronics are verry good. Sounds awsome plugged in. Have gotten spoiled rotten with the onboard tuner. This guitar shares the same contour back as models made in U.S.A. So guitar is half made in China. neck is made of nato wood. I have no problem with that. fretboard and bridge are rosewood. Tuners are supposed to be chrome, but mine are gold. Guitar is lightweight, but verry well made and appears to be sturdy.
Ease of Use
Once broken in the use of this product is great. With factory set up bar chords are easy all the way up. Could use tweeking, maybe. Fingerpicking is effortless and notes ring out richly with just the right mellowness.
Quality
Guitar, as I have said ,appears to be verry well made, and why not, china is a manufactoring country, and if ovation is supervising and standing behind their product, there should not be a problem. There are no blemishes that are visible to me. Guitar is verry plain looking, exept for the unmistakable ovation headstock. There is no pickguard. having a cedar top as opposed to spruce the top will be more prone to scratches and dings, as cedar is a much softer wood. I will have one installed. Since my guitars seldem leave my house I beliieve this instrument will last a good long time.
Value
A lot of bang for the buck as they say. with the contour back and solid top I feel as if I have purchased something more than a mid level instrument. I feel the price I paid was a good price for the quality I received.
Manufacturer Support
I have tried many ovations but this is the first one I liked the sound of and actually purchased, so I have never dealt with the company. The dealer I purchased from here in northern N.Y. is verry good to deal with and any problems that might arrise with warranty would be handled by them.
The Wow Factor
I dont lust for this guitar. I amire the way it is built, as plaine as it might be, it is a pleasure to admire.

I was always fond of the Ovation look with the round back and all but never bought one before. When I saw that the contour back was available, I jumped on it right away. I played a friend's round back before and could never get comfortable playing it sitting down. Most people that play these play standing up and it is not a problem. I needed a guitar that I could take somewhere and play but also one to record with. This guitar sounds sweet when plugged in and it sits nicely when playing sitting down. The neck is small like my strat which I like very much. I have large hands and I still feel comfortable playing this neck. It is very smooth. I actually like everything about this guitar and would definately buy another. Highly recommended and I rarely spend the time to write a review.
