Feature:
For $299 this has to be one of the best guitar values you can get. Built in tuner, 3 band EQ, gold hardware and some of the most beautiful inlay work I've ever seen. Very impressive guitar.
Quality:
What can I say, it's immaculate. It's a low end Ovation and yet it feels like it's built like it's big brothers. Honestly, one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever played.
Value:
Honestly, this guitar is a steal at $299.
Desirability:
Clean and solid lines all the way around. I got the black and it looks very classy. The abalone inlays really standout and the gold hardware fits in nicely while not overtaking the appearance of the overall guitar. You won't be disappointed.
Sound:
The sound is awesome. Of course it's not as full as a dreadnought while unplugged but more than acceptable. I honestly have only played it for an hour so I haven't plugged it in yet. So I am basing this rating solely on the unplugged sound.
Ease of Use:
It's a guitar and you strum it, so barring a mutant arm popping out of the sound hole and grabbing your pick while you play, it's as easy as it gets. However, it has the smoothest playing neck of any acoustic I've played. The action was just right for me out of the box and the built in tuner had me up and playing my favorites in about 10 minutes. Also, this being a shallow body, it's a lot easier to play overall than my Washburn dreadnought. Feels just like playing my electric with the great sound of the acoustic.
Support:
I haven't needed Ovation support. So so far I give them a 10 until I experience something negative from them. Also, Ovation is reputable company that stands by their products, so I don't anticipate problems.
Overall:
I researched this product before I bought it. I looked at reviews from different sites and compared features for a guitar with this setup under the 500 dollar range. This seemed the guitar that would give me the most bang for my buck. I don't know if I'll ever play another brand of acoustic electric again.
