Feature:
Would have been nice to have some EFX, or an effects send/recieve fuction, but this is a hiphop/scratch mixer and for what it's built to do, it does very well. All of the faders have a very nice, comfortable feel to them and glide like butter. They don't feel cheap or flimsy. You should have no problem pulling off the most complex scratches with this mixer, as this mixer has excellent slope controls and hamster switches on all faders. I've abused my faders pretty well and it is safe to say that Numark took it's time to develop these faders to last.
Quality:
It's beautiful and feels sturdy.
Value:
The bottom line is that this is one the best mixers in it's class and is priced very consumer friendly.
Desirability:
Other Numark mixers look like toys as colorful as they are, but this one is black, which in my opinion, makes it look and feel more professional. The bottom half has a brushed metal texture to it, while the top half has some type of rubberized finish. It's definitely not hard to find all of your faders and knobs as they are chromed and contrast nicely. All lights shine bright red. This mixer is sexy!
Sound:
I mix mostly Hip-Hop, R&B, Oldschool Electro & Freestyle. The sound quality of this mixer is excellent. Even when playing on turntables with cheap cartidges, the bass really kicks. If you're playing through good speakers, you can really give the people something to feel without the bass distorting.
Ease of Use:
This mixer is very well layed out and uncluttered. You don't have to worry about accidentally banging knobs or switches while performing.
Overall:
I will have this mixer for a long time, even after I get another mixer. Would I get another one if this one was stolen? I don't know. It would depend on what's out at that time.
