Quality:
Quality all the way. No plastic feel.

Sound:
If you know how to program synthesizers, you can get some awesome patches out of this synth. If not you may be stuck with some horrible and thin sounds. The Nord Lead is known for its sound, thats why I bought it.

Ease of Use:
While everything is laid out really easy looking it can be hard to program nice basses, leads, pads from the horrible presets that come with this ting. So again take your time if your new to synths.

Overall:
Great great synth. A New Classic.

Feature:
Overall very interesting gadget to play with constantly. Someone else mentioned the absence of the possiblity to precisely set the speed of the arp. Also, I'd like a display which could show the full name of the patch. Other than that, it's great.

Quality:
Superb! Looks great, feels great. You need to take special care when handling it though if you don't want to damage the knobs.

Value:
Excellent. I've heard a lot of people say it's an excellent synth for delving into the analog synthesis. Also, it's been played by a LOT of famous people including Jarre, which is mainly the reason I bought it :)

Desirability:
Looks great - it's a unique piece of equipment. You can always recognize a clavia instrument with its red color and tons of knobs

Sound:
I've only had it for a couple of days, but am finding inspiring sounds every day. It doesn't have effects, but I don't mind. I am learning to appreciate the quality of DRY sound. It CAN sound superb even dry. The other good thing is without much experience you can move a knob or two and quickly adjust the sound to your preference. I haven't started to build my own sounds yet, but I guess that will be a true adventure. I am using the Nord together with my Korg TR and I think they make a great combination.

Ease of Use:
very easy to plunge into - I don't know about more complex stuff - still have a lot to learn, but I think it will be a rewarding experience

Support:
Didn't have any issues yet, so there was no need for the support.

Overall:
I plan on keeping it - very glad I bought it.

Feature:
Great possibilities in sounds especially for electronic. I wish it had a tap tempo for arpeggios or a screen to navigate. No pianos or rhodes. Buy a stage or an electro if you are looking for this possibilities to complement your 2x.

Quality:
metal. non plastic.

Value:
many excellent things for that price.

Sound:
excellent leads, pads and basses.

Ease of Use:
easy if you have a good ear.

Support:
they have not answer my congratulation letters.

Overall:
Is a must have keyboard if you are into electronic sounds.

Feature:
No effects mmmm Sounds a little boring without them and adds to the cost to buy external effects .

Quality:
solid built.well made.but easy to overwrite programed sounds , had realy good resonance pads accidently overwrote them by loading up a midi file it changed the patch which was realy good sound.

Value:
yep.

Desirability:
looks great at night ! great looking synth one of the best . howether i think i wouldent get rid of it has lots of uses like for goa trance its great.

Sound:
The sound is Glistening , Electric , Lots of bells and whistle type sounds . Product sounds ok on its own but no effects ! Good sound quality . Not great for trance howether i use or basses and sometimes fx and pads and general backing melodys etc .

Overall:
I would not replace it because each synth has its own uses and characteristics so its staying but im already looking for another product to do what this cant and that is a main keyboard with more part multi timbre avalability , 4 isent enougth for a main synth.

Feature:
If only it had a better keybed but at this price point, the keybed is still better than the competition.

Quality:
Light and sturdy construction. Perfect for mobility.

Value:
Definately worth the money.

Desirability:
I wanted a portable synth companion for my MC-909. I had also considered the MS2000B and the Alesis ION. The MS didn't have enough polyphony and I hated the flat panel ergonomics of the ION. The Nord Lead is lighter, has more polyphony, and it's design makes it much easier to move when your on the go.

Sound:
It's a Nord Lead. It needs no effects. Outstanding sound.

Overall:
A great upgrade to a modern classic. I plan on having this synth for a long time. For the most part, I think that Clavia have been overcharging for their synths for years, but I would say that this synth is worth every penny.

Feature:
Too many to talk about, one of my faves is the morph function.

Quality:
I was suprised on how lite this little red devil is and sturdy as a big mac truck!

Value:
for the price it is well worth it. It's shipped with more power, programs and memory than the first Lead 2.

Desirability:
Allready own it. :-)

Sound:
I've found so many sounds on this board that sound so great! If you can't find one sound on this machine that you can't use just make up your own, it's easy to make up any sound from the past on this baby!

Support:

Overall:
I own a few synths, Triton, Ms2000, Mc505, Sh101 and all of the Electribes. For the price and ease the Nord sounds the best. I also want to mention that if you do buy it make sure you get an fx box because none of the nords have them built in but even without one on the unit it still sounds louder and more VS than the MS2000.
