Clavia's goal when developing the Nord Electro was to create the best emulations of traditional electromechanical keyboard instruments on the market, and to make the instrument compact and lightweight. Nothing else. No brass banks, no orchestral sounds. No compromises. Learn More...

9 out of 10Sound:
The organ and electric piano sounds are best through a tube amp. Everyone complains about the piano sounds, but they're actually pretty good. Go mic up a real piano, run it through a PA system, and then compare it to the Nord (it'll sound even better in stereo).

9 out of 10Sound:
I love the sound of the hammond b-3 and this is the next best thing. The sound is really rich and meaty. I've played and owned the portable Hammonds and they don't compare. It was very hard to get the quailty sound I wanted in different settings. Now as far as the pianos...they are kind of weak but the organ sound makes up for them.
Ease of Use:
very easy to use. just turn it on and start to having a good time

10 out of 10Feature:
The very fact that the Nord is upgradable via USB port makes this one of the most versatile instruments EVER!
Quality:
Built nicely, and even looks reeeaaal purrrrrrrty
Value:
Probably worth twice as much
Sound:
The only thing that keeps this from being an all-around 10 is that the acoustic pianos are a little weak. But mind you, I'm running this through a 5" powered monitor, so I could be mistaken.
Ease of Use:
Super easy to master the functions, and relatively intuitve. Since drums are my primary instrument and the keys are something I'm learning more and more about everyday, the overall controls were extremely straightforward.

6 out of 10Feature:
not to many sounds but the cuality of each sound is better than those keyboards with hundreds of not useful sounds. and with the effects a lot of posibilities with each sound.
Value:
if you compare hammonds or the korg cx3 they are more expensive and don´t have more sounds.
Desirability:
I have it
Sound:
I give the hammond a 10 because it´s very close to the real thing the leslie is excellent and the digital drawbars are easy to use.
Th wurli has a great presence and love the distortion. the ep´s are nice and the clavinet is awesome especial for the lot of options it has. The acoustic is very good one ot the best on 5 octave keyboards especially on the low register.
Ease of Use:
is very easy everything is there 100 % for performance
