Feature:
This product has full workstation capabilities. Create separate channels for each sound and then split your midi keyboard and layer additional sounds in each channel. The step sequencer and arpeggiator are a nice feature. You can save all the performance settings so that they can be recalled later.
Quality:
I was not impressed with the Electronic Experience installation but this product installed without a hitch and the quality of the features and sound are impressive.
Value:
I do not know of anything to compare with this product, but I would say for the price the features and content and quality of the sounds are well worth the money.
Desirability:
Sex appeal? it's a program for gosh sakes, but it does have a level of genius associated with it and makes creating music a whole lot more fun. It adds some serious sonic depth and character to the sound of any composition.
Sound:
The sounds that come with this product along with the additional sound packs you can purchase are exceptional. Works well as a RTAS plug in with Pro-Tools M-Powered.
Ease of Use:
It's very intuitive and easy to use. The video tutorials on the Native Instruments website are worth watching. I was able to get it up and running and start using it without cracking the manual.
Support:
Have not had to use it with this product but not real impressed when I did deal directly with NI on a problem with Electronic Experience, but have to say that the User Forums make up for that deficiency.
Overall:
I expect to be using this product for quite some time to come. In fact when I started down the path of creating a home studio I kind of wish I had started with NI plug-ins to start with I ended up getting quite a few of them and they have become the main tool of choice. I would have saved myself quite a bit of money. Make sure you have a PC with plenty of memory and processing power.
