The B4 software organ broke new ground when it was released in 2000 and was an instant success. It reproduces the sound of the legendary B3 and its rotary speaker cabinet with unmatched accuracy. Its expressiveness and immediate playability continues to amaze even the most experienced organ players. The B4 II raises the bar considerably, generating a much wider sonic range and a far richer, even more authentic sound. Learn More...

B3 - B4 same diff
Quality:
NI software is made by German software engineers. Nuff said.
Value:
Let's see $1000 - $10,000 for the real deal or $179.00 for the same thing that won't break your back!
Desirability:
If you need an "authentic" Hammond sound, you simply cannot go wrong.
Try it first if you can, and if you can't buy it anyway. It is that good.
Sound:
Unlike some of the other respondents, I have actually owned a Hammond
C3 and M3. I have tried MANY clones. The B4 is buy far the nearest to the real thing you will ever get period! That guy from below from Italy is full of crap. The B4 will ROCK your grandmother right out of the grave!!!
Support:
Little slow, but hey they are all the way over in Germany.
Overall:
I will love and cherish this software till death do us part.

10 out of 10Feature:
It lets you tweak many parameters, even lets you simulate a very worn-in tone generator or a seasoned amp. It emulates many characteristics of the sound that are quite subtle and completely unique to Hammonds.
Quality:
I don't know about other NI products, but this one works just fine. They must have really tested it well.
Sound:
I had to respond to counter some of the negative reviews.
This software instrument fills a couple of different niches that almost nothing else really does. Sure there are a TON of "Hammond" sound emulators out there, but none are as flexible as this one. There's as many different Hammond sounds as there are players, and the organs do NOT all sound alike. This software is really the only way to have a synth that sounds like *your* Hammond.
It's also the only Hammond Amp/Chorus/Leslie effect that's worth a damn, and it's worth the price of the software just for the Leslie effect.
