I tested dozens of tremolo pedals before settling for this one! A few sounded superb, among them the Demeter Tremulator and the Fullsound SupaTrem. But the MXR sounds perfect in ANY setting. It never gets too choppy, or too warbly. Its warmth makes the guitar breathe with a natural, pleasing pulse that somehow inspires you to play less and listen more. In that sense, it's a truly musical pedal. The stereo panning is stunning for a while, but this pedal needs no tricky gimmicks to convince.
