1 out of 10Feature:
Don't know cuz it crashes.
Quality:
The DXi plugin doesn't work with FL Studio. All the other plugins are for specific sequencers. Ethno instrument is recognized by my sequencer, but go to load an instrument and the sequencer crashes without any spike in memory or cpu. The app is slow even as a stand alone app and I have dual AMD processors with 1GB RAM. It's slow to load and slow to respond.
Value:
If the app doesn't work what value is it to me?
Desirability:
Good instrument, bad software!
Sound:
Good sound with stand-alone app. But it crashes my FL Studio 6.0 Producer Edition sequencer.
Ease of Use:
The stand-alone app was pretty easy to use. Can't listen to instrument sounds before you load them though, which is kinda silly.
Support:
Filed a support case with MOTU and no response after 3 days. They did say however that I should get a response in 1-2 business days. Checking my case status online after 3 days, I see that the case has not even been viewed.

8 out of 10Quality:
This is definitely a quality product. The instruments and loops are very clean and realistic. They have a very rich human sound to them.
Value:
I think Ethno Instrument is well worth the price.
Desirability:
If you want to add some rich world culture to your music, this is a must have.
Sound:
I've found the instruments and loops in Ethno Instrument to be absolutely top notch. This is a fantastic product if you want to add some cultural richness to your music.
Ease of Use:
I found my way around the interface very easily and quickly. The only very minor thing is that some of the flyouts get a little long when selecting instruments and it's a tad annoying getting back to the main menu. Considering everything else, that minor annoyance is easy to overlook.
Support:
The company seems to respond relatively quickly with e-mail support. I got a response to a question within a couple of days.
Overall:
I'll definitely use this for a long time. Know that I know the quality of MOTU, I will also be getting the Symphonic Instrument. Great stuff!
