"LISTEN TOO THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS AND RELATED PRODUCTS"

Its a beat making program, a toy for the non serious at heart. If you just want to make some beats and dont want to pay almost $300. Check out beatthang or maybe beat station. Otherwise, go with the real thing...MASCHINE!!!!!!!
Sound
I give this a 6 out 10 because of the type of music (hiphop) i'am doing. It sounds great for sampling beats/drums & etc. But...the package sounds are some of the most lifeless, boring, simple sounds i've heard from a newer product. Let start with its drum bank...kicks are keyboard sounding, snares are stolen (yes, u can tell where every other snare coming from) and hihats all sound a like. I was very upset that its sound did not in no way equal its price tag!!!
Features
Once again, this is ok for some hip hop tracks so i'll give an 8 on features. If you have a controller with keys and drum pads your good. If not, then go with N.I Maschine..."TRUST ME ON THIS" What made me hate motu is they're additional $89 for its '1.5' upgrade. MOTU listen, these features should of been free and/or included before release. Yall ain't Propellerhead DOG!
Ease of Use
Your mom will be chopping beats minutes after install...LOL Seriously, learned it in a couple of hours, played with it about a week or two and havent touch it since.
Quality
What?
Value
Well, for $280+ tax you get a program about the size of a email that will crash at lease once as soon as ya start using its effects. And a ilok (usb key...$39 online) that requires a third party update (not from motu) in order too install any updates from moto. NICE! I wish i could of got a crack and just brought the ilok... would have save me $240 bucks.
Manufacturer Support
Called once, got an answer.
The Wow Factor
I was sold mostly on its looks (mpc style) and its half the price of maschine. Only to find out how much i hate clicking on the mouse to get to functions in bpm.

I've had it for a couple of weeks and I'm already saving up for Native Insruments Maschine. Fellow musicians, save your money and get something better!
Sound
The sounds that come with it are not that bad but could be a lot better.Especially the multisamples. There ok.
Features
It has a lot of features. The best is probably the 64 tracks and the mpc style pads.
Ease of Use
It's fairly easy to use. You can start making beats right outofthe box. The instruction manuel is easy too.
Quality
I have only had it for about two weeks and I have not noticed any bugs.
Value
I gave it a six because for the price this software lacks a few features that are usually accessible with software in this price range. The only thing you can do is play rex, wav, aiff or the factory sounds. Motu advertises that you can play any machfive libray but they don't tell you that you have to literally buy machfive and use the ilock dongle in order to play those sounds in BPM. This software lacks support for other sample libraries, ex:kontakt, nnxt, giga, etc. I think its a better idea to save your money and by Native Instruments Maschine or something similar.
Manufacturer Support
The support sucks. They act as if your annoying the hell out of them.
The Wow Factor
I regret buying this. I should have saved my money and bought Native Instruments Maschine. That program itself(without the controller that comes with it) is essentially the same price with way more features.

"Nice concept not fully realized yet!"

I like the basic setup just don't keep trying to make money off of people for your flaws in creating a good product. You see something that would make the program or realize something you could have done better to the program charge yourself head not your customers. A great program speaks for itself and with word of mouth customers will come.
Sound
the sound quality is great better thank you see on a lot of software drum kits
Features
I like the ease of flow for editing and sample layer but learn midi functions are crappy that don't even save the pads after that session you need a template i guess and not one is provided for every midi controller. I use a Maschine and it doesn't match up at all.
Ease of Use
It's easy to get the sounds into any daw you are using this with and also to incorporate you own sounds into. As far as playing with other products on the software side no issues as of yet but on the hardware side the template issue is still a problem.
Quality
Well it's software so it's as much as you would expect of course you are going to have some bugs and fixes that come out or changes to things but I don't iike the fact that when the bugs are fixed they want to call it an upgrade and charge to upgrade to the next version. Take a note from Native on the Maschine Motu when they fix anything or even add to the sound banks it's a download for an upgrade that's it there are no extra fees. Get it no extra fees for fixes and Upgrades.
Value
I don't believe so there are other drum software programs out there maybe not with the setup like Motu but FPC, BFD, and other don't cost as much are great products. It does provide a huge library of sound maybe that's a plus but hey you get packs from anywhere now.
Manufacturer Support
Sucks as I can see they tell you @$ our fax support and telephone support but that's only during business hours os how is that 24 hours . Duh! And I submitted one tech link question and had to wait almost two days for a reply and you can forget the telephone people you will only be frustrated from call after call of busy signals. Wow I would think that with all the products these guys have out they would at least have gotten the basics down and that's take care of the people who keep you in business the customers.
The Wow Factor
I have the Native Maschine it doesn't get any sexy than that with the alluring lights and all ,lol! Software is ok as long as it provides stability and flexibility And doesn't charge me fr every little fix like a gold digging woman lol!
