This pedal must be one of the most versatile distorton pedals for 100 bucks ($CAN). Not to mention it's solidly built, and looks great. The gain control can take you from a smooth bluesy overdrive to a nice thick crunchy dictorton great for rhythm. The volume gives one hell of a boost which is why I use it for solos. For lead tones, you can shape it to sound however you want, but keep in mind it's essential to have a good clean tone before using distortion over it. Not to mention the quality of your guitar and amp, which can seriously affect your tone. If you're looking to play mostly metal stuff and detuned riffs, you'd be better off looking for the Jackhammer, but beware, it puts out a hell of a lotta bass. The Guv'nor is great for classic rock, Led Zep, AC/DC, Santana, Van Halen, etc. If you're looking for a great all-round distortion, look no further than the Guv'nor, you'll be impressed!

Feature:
Aside from the deep control (which rocks), this pedal doesnt't really have features or accessories. but then again it's not supposed to. I only wish the wall adapter came with it

Quality:
I'm pretty careful with my stuff so I don't know firsthand but I've heard stories about how ridiculously strong this pedal is (hitting with hammers, dropping off of decks, etc.)

Value:
this item is very cheap and very high quality

Desirability:
I think this pedal's hot but family and friends have said it looks like a sowing machine pedal (not sure if that's good or bad). But really come on who's unna be staring at your feet during a show?

Sound:
This pedal sounds awesome

Ease of Use:
Clear, hah, a four year child could understand this

Support:
Haven't had to deal with them which in my opinion is the best kind of support

Overall:
This pedal is awesome in my opinion. but ist's probably not fr you if you're looking for something flashy or with a lot of effects

You can play anything with this, from blues to metal (just max the gain, add volume and some off its great bass. and there's a lot of bass... but it can be dialed out if you so desire).Sound very similar to a Marshall JCM 800. Best pedal i've ever owned, and i take it to anywhere i go play. Takes some time to get the perfect settings, but they are there and it makes up for the time lost.

A very nice distortion pedal, it can give you a nice overdriven sound, as well as a crunchy sound. A nice feature is the deep control, which gives you acres of low rumble when you need it. The only complaints I have about it is that it EATS batteries (definately go for the power adapter if possible), and that the volume control on it is awful sensitive...you might have to fight with it to get it not to blow you away too much, but maybe that's where you wanna be anyway....

Very versatile and it's really like a MARSHALL amp in a box. Well that's what most people call it . I will make any amp sounds sounds like a MArshall stack. While aobut the build, it's exalent. Very vintage looking and good colour co-ordination. Give this pedal a try is you're you would like to get some marshall sound without speding a bomb but don't expect it will sounds like few thousand marshall stack with just a $90

If your looking for a pedal that has nice mix of vintage and modern sounds, than this is the pedal for you. Altough I thought that the gain was a little weak, and the bass was a little too chunky (for me at least), it did have a nice sound. The volume knob is a bit touchy, but I guess that wasn't much of a problem. Some nice features it has are its detailed EQ. You can dial in a more midrangy type sound but also a more mid-scooped sound as well. Its DEEP feature is also nice. This pedal definately does have the vibe of a Marshall amp, old and new.

Feature:
The features are amazing because you can change the sound of music in a split second, just by changing the middle, or gain, etc.

Quality:
Not only does this pedal sound good, but it looks cool, doesn't break easily, and you could always depend on this for your awesome lead parts, or solo's.

Value:
The price was amazing for it's qualities

Desirability:
This pedal was awesome because it has an awesome shape, color, and size. It's perfect.

Sound:
This distortion pedal can be used for any type of music that uses distortion or overdrive. For metal, I recommend this setting: Treble: 10, Bass: 10, Deep: 10, Mid: 0, and Gain: 10. For classic rock, do the same thing but mid: 10. This is definetly worth the money, and even if it were more, it would still be worth it.

Support:
The support was great, or at least for me.

Overall:
IF YOU NEED DISTORTION, GET THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
