Feature:
Plain and simple just the way i like it. I rented the AVT150 Combo amp with all the bells and whistles and didnt like it - i found the effects it had built in were very dry and sounded similar.

Quality:
Not sure yet cause i just bought it but based on what everyone is saying Marshall isnt a cheap make

Value:
Best Bang for the back considering any decent combo amps brand new are $800

Desirability:
ITS MINE ALL MINE

Sound:
Very good crisp sound has a lot of depth to it. I've only ever played through a Peavey 2x12 Classic Chorus Solid State combo amp. So i guess i wouldnt know any better. But so far so good - I would assume that the pure tube amps may sound better but also would hurt the pocket. I picked this half stack up used(less than 1 year old) for $800 CDN. I use my Ibanez SZ520 and it sounds very good. I'm suprised of the sound of the distortion as it may sound better than the MXR double shot I bought 5months ago and it cost me $200 bucks - however im still tweaking with the nobs. I cant wait to run a delay pedal through this thing and bust some solos!

Overall:
Buy this if you're on a budget but wont something very respectable or if you're rich go get the tube heads with 1960 cabs.

I compared my 100 watt VS100R head to the AVT50 head on a trial run -I needed something that recorded better. So with high hopes but low expectations I plugged a guitar into it. After the first few notes, I was won over. Although this head has less features than the VS100R head, the superior sound quality made up for it. The overdrive is tight punchy and clear, it is nearly as loud or as loud as its 100 watt older brother. It looks way better too -being proportionate to the cab and having gold lining around the face. It even has a vent and fan to keep it cool so the sound quality sustains during long gigs. I was completely blown away by it and am very happy with the trade.

Feature:
everythings great if only it had a master volume and a resence but great!

Quality:
built like a tank. decided to put casters on the 412 so its easier to move around.

Value:
Its a little expensive for the cab but worth it.

Desirability:
man if you have ever seen pictures of zakk wylde, ac/dc, def leppard or any of those bands you see a wall of marshalls these things are the jenna jamesons of guitar amps.

Sound:
Clean channel is pretty good it would be nice if it had a middle and if the gain didnt have to be half way up to get any decent volume. the overdrive is killer i put the distortion to 7 the bass all the way and the rest at half and it sreams.

Support:
havent had to deal with them

Overall:
Ill always use this thing unless my band gets playing big shows then id go for 1960 cabs and dsl 100 heads.

Personally, I love the Marshall sound! I have a half stack with an AVT50Head. It is as equally at home in my living room as anywhere else. I am in heaven when playing my American special Floyd Rose HH Fender Strat through it! It just gives me a wonderfully satisfying feeling. If the Marshall sound is your thing, then shop for the right price first and get the model that you want the first time. Maybe it will be the last amp you ever need to buy!

As we all know, Jim was the first to amplify the sound of a guitar to suit the musicians, so it is no surprise that it would be very satisfying to play on this Marshall half-stack or better yet own it. Gotta keep saving I guess, but as a Marshall valvestate owner I could recommend it fully. Marshall stands behind their equipment and I have yet to have a problem with mine.
