Feature:
It comes with a standard footswitch 2 eq's for the clean, and 3 eq's for the gain. it would have been cool for the clean channel to have a separate reverb and other cool effects like its bigger brother: the avt150, but i don't reaaly need all that. i just want to play straight rock and roll! it's a matter of choice really, but it is more important for the amp to sound good than have a bunch of digital effects. one thing i have to complain about is when you switch over from distortion to clean while still sustaining a note a loud "popping" sound will occur for a second. it kind of annoying, but it can be easily avoided. The construction is great (solid as a rock) and you can barely hear the circulation fan that cools the amp.

Quality:
you get a 5 year warranty, so i'm not that worried. and everything seems to work fine.

Value:
i'd say its a little expensive, but you get for what you paid for!

Desirability:
I just love the way it sounds and feels. i think it will help me progress as a better musician and explore deeper tones in different amps and instruments. it was a great investment.

Sound:
Powerful and crisp clean & classic marshall crunch! This amp is loud and clear! I love the clean channel and how it responds to every note. I play a standard strat and it doesn't have that bright, fake, solid-state sound that hurts your ears, but is smooth and regulated. The tube in the pre-amp makes so much difference between the other MG (marshall) series. the tube adds so much more dimension to the clean and gain channels. the bass is terrific and since it has a closed back design you get deeper tones. when you turn this up you can really hear the vibrations in your bones! I have a boss ds-1 pedal, but I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE! for the money, although not inexpensive, i can't complain. i give it a 10.

Support:
can't say that i have dealt with marshall.

Overall:
I had a fender champ30 and it just wasn't loud or clear enough to hear over a drummer and other sounds, so i looked and looked a found this marshall to be my best bet. i don't need a huge stack right now... although i would prefer a mode 4... but the marshall is great and loud and it rocks!

If you always wanted a Marshall amp and you think you can't afford it and rather buy a solid state amp - forget it. I've owned the Prineton Chorus from Fender -solid state- and it alway gave me a hum and a buzz. This AVT50 is the best amp your money can buy when watching the dollars. It's worth every penny and it kicks ass. Nice and clean and warm sounds. The Overdrive is a Sweet Kicker. I use it for my Takemine acoustic and my new Custom Strat. Which were both gotten from [where i bought](THE AVT50 and the Strat). My local guitar shop couldn't meet the pricing and was 25 miles to get to. I shopped from home and the delivery was fast and free (I recieved mine the Next Day, Maybe because they shipped it from NJ and I live in NJ). Why go anyplace else? Buy the Amp. You will not be disappointed

This is the best quality combo I've seen and/or played with yet. Its quality tone is amazing... the sweet and sparkling clean channel along with the grinding-metal overdrive channel. This amp can do it all... if you play blues, set the gain and level settings accordingly... If you play metal, turn the "gain" knob till it stops at the number 10. Thats as far as you'll need to go to get that great, classic Marshall distortion that every effect pedal and amp try to copy. This is the real thing... and with the brilliant AVT technology - its pretty dang cheap! So what are you waiting for? I bought it - loved it - will forever. You will too... No this site didn't pay me to advertise... I just love this amp that much!

Sure this does not sound like a tube amp at 2X, but it is 98% of the way there. Beefy warm tone with none of that solid state brittleness. The clean channel has OUTRAGEOUS punch and good low end (not like a 4 X12 cab, but for a combo, great). The overdrive channel is classic Marshall. You don't need a distortion pedal ... I think one would take something away from this great crunch. If you are into metal, or heavy rock, this is the best value out there for the $$$. If you are more of a blues player, this is decent, but there are better Fenders for the same $$

I love this amp. It is a quality piece of equipment. It delivers what it says it will. I have plugged into it everyday since delivered. It plays cool and clean or full gain, overdrive nasty. The best features yet are that it delivers a full blown sound at an affordable price that doesn't weigh a ton. It has enough volume to get everyone's attention inside. If you want to play outside, or in a large arena, you'll need something bigger.

Feature:
the features are simple but what do you expect for an amp at this price, for a begginer amp you have everything you could want.

Quality:
the qaulity of this amp is nothing less than superb, my friend had one and he told me that he was driving down the motorway at 60mph on his way to do a gig and the doors on his van open and it fell out and bounced down the road, and after he went back for it, got to where he was going, and plugged it in he said it still worked, lol so i dont think you need to worry about the quality.

Value:
i think the price is really quite reasonable for an amp of this qaulity and sound

Desirability:
i only wish that i bought this amp when i began playing, but i've been playing for 4years now, alot, and now i'm looking to buy my first tube amp possibly marshall tsl 122combo but if your a new player get it, it's perfect

Sound:
When i first started playing this amp i was really amazed at how nice it sounds, the dirty channel is really very smooth and clean, when your playing everything comes through clear and you can realy here what your pick is doing, which is great if you play lead and perfect if you can shred. the clean channel was also very pleasent it sounds very warm and agin very clear, the clean gain setting is very good on this amp, for a rock n' roll bluesy sound its just perfect i was very happy with the sound, if your a beginner and you like to play heavy get this amp i noticed that the low end distortion on this amp can produce a sound that is even heavier than some of the more powerful AVT models

Support:
no idea, never needed it

Overall:
easily a 10, great amp, very impressed

I'm not sold on the FX with the amp except the reverb. I don't like the fact the foot switch does not work with the reverb

Quality:
IT's a Marshall..enough said

Value:
great..sure beats other amps I have played in the same price group..Kustom being the crappiest.

Sound:
My MG250 has a good sound. Still Can't get the tube sound ,but for the most part the amp rocks. only problem is an 100 watt analog is only equal to a 50 watt tube.. all the studies i've can't explain it.

Support:
never used it

This is probably one of the best practice/small gig amp I've ever played. Its 50 watts may sound puney on text, but playing it is another story. This thing cranks out through its beautiful sounding Celestion Speaker (Most Preferred Speakers for Guitarists....Ever!) The overdrive channel can sound as nasty or as vintage as anything, the clean will make a dead man sing. Its that sweet. The power on this thing could easily over power your drummer in your band, so there is no problem there. A great thing about Marshall amps is that the more time you have it, the more you learn to love it. You find out new demensions and worlds just playing it and using its cappabilities. (There are so many). Many have called this AVT series one of the most versitile series ever. At a price of only $479 you cant go wrong, and you'll know you spend every spanking dollar on something great!

Feature:
Comes with a good heavy duty foot switch. Has 2 channels, reverb, CD and headphone jacks.

Quality:
I rated quality a 7 because mine is 8 months old and I have an intermittent problem on the clean channel where the light flickers and the sound level goes up and down and becomes scratchy. I cant get it to happen often enough though to show a technician the problem.

Value:
This amp has the great Marshall tone, but does not have alot of bells and whistles. For 500.00 bucks I didnt expect alot of bells and whistles on a Marshall amp. I did expect great Marshall sound and this amp delivers it. I do wish the clean channel was louder without turning the gain up. The distortion channel is more than loud enough.

Sound:
This is a good sounding amp. Nice distortion channel, very good clean channel especially with a Strat. Blues licks are great with the gain turned up, but also sound sweet with lower gain.

Support:
Any Marshall dealer can get repairs handled for you, but dont go to the Marshall website looking for any kind of technical support because it is not there.

Overall:
Overall I am very happy with this amp. The intermittent problem on the clean channel is my only complaint. Other than that I would keep this amp forever,
