The KT-80 is an aural feast! This little 100w amp puts out a huge, round sound in a package smaller than your average suitcase. The hi-fi, piano/synth channel runs clean and loud (I can pound the keys of my mighty Yamaha P-80 and the KT will handle it). And the 12AX7 tube channel will make your organ patch scream! Even the relatively thin B-3 patch on my P-80 comes through sounding almost Jon Lordish! The tube can be swept from clean through to the angry gurgle that defines a great Hammond sound. The tube channel control pots (pre-gain, contour, post-gain, bass, treble) offer total and infinitely variable control over the 12AX7. To top it all off, this baby weighs in at only 28 lbs, comes in a simple and attractive design, and gives you almost any control or option you would need in a keyboard amp. And don't forget the switchable channel! Sure, maybe a bit more power would do, and I think the KT-SL footswitch should have come with the KT-80, but the sound that comes out of this thing is very big indeed. The grand piano shakes the floor! Good work, Motion Sound!
