I'll own it forever and if it gets stolen or damaged I'll replace it with the same unit.
Sound
This cleaned up the AC noice I was experienceing quite nicely
Features
Its nice I only rated it a 9 because it does not come with a lamp like some of the cheaper units and at 200.00 it should be standard

Sound
sounds great? I have noticed a decrease in low frequency hum 60hz. But I do recommend isolating any ground loops before hand, because this thing has a strong earth mains.
Features
The incoming voltage display is cool, as well as the the protection mode lights. But the best is the optional "gooseneck" lamp with dimmer control, it works well for reading music on top of your rack as well as illuminating the components below. I also like the sequential power up and power down feature (this elliminates the pops and phase-outs of normal power strips, great for digital components)
Quality
Heavy grounding capabilities. Good solid unit.
Value
It costs a little more than other units but you know what your getting. With "Furman" you have a choice of different models and series, and it can be hard to figure out what does what and what protection you actually get.
Manufacturer Support
I havent had any problems (yet).

The Wow Factor
I have been researching with several manufactures that specialize in power conditioning/voltage regulation. My friend owns this product, which is why I decided to dig into its value. It turns out that this unit is basically just a big surge protector with the ability to filter out signal noise/interferences. The voltage display is nothing more than a meter that identifies the incoming voltage. This unit, as confirmed by Monster, does NOT provide voltage correction to your equipment. No amperage regulation, no voltage regulation, and on a 2700 joule rating. Having this unit is better than having nothing, but you basically bought something similar to a rack mounted power strip. If you are going to shell out $200 for a power strip...you might as well just save up the difference and really get something that provides voltage/amperage regulation like other manufacturers have. This is what really extends the life of your equipment and gets you the max quality out of your sound. The only unit monster has that does provide voltage-reg is the PRO 2000. Which is huge and I am looking for a single space rack unit. No thanks monster..
