I've had my Manhasset Symphony music stand for about 3 years, and it's still going strong. I use it for practice at home usually holding a 4" wide binder with the lyrics and music for about 100 of my own songs and 300 or so cover songs which I pay in my show, rotating them n and out. All pages are protected with matte plastic covers. The binder weighs 12 1/2 pounds. During my gigs, it is on stage right next to me, flattened down as a "table", holding a Voice Live 3 Voice, Guitar and Looper effects box, (an over-sized stomp box). I also keep picks, set list, spare sets of strings, a glass slide and occasionally sheet music. I consider it a must have for both practice and gigging, and it works great for both. It hasn't lost any strength due to always holding a lot of weight, meaning the threads haven't been stripped or worn down.
