Bought one or these units to go with 2 existing SRM V2's and I can tell you that Mackie has now gone to to toe with QSC's K12. the bass in the new V3 is punchier, the highs have been cleaned up and the HD Sound is so crisp it's almost hard to believe they could make this much improvement in one swoop. I did have a static issue come up in the unit within an hour of play but zzSound has had another replacement on my doorstep within 3 days so I chalking this up to a hiccup Love it !!!

Bought a pair of these to replace an aging monitor system and so far am impressed with the sound quality. Only complaint was BOTH power LED's went out within an hour and haven't lighted since, but doesn't hurt the performance.

The LED went out on the front of the speaker and the speaker clipped on my first party. The Mackie Thumps do slightly lack in sound clarity but def have never clipped. SRM 12 is not worth the price. Definitely returning this product.
