Overall: This is a very versatile and functional mixer. It does have it's benefits, especially for live use and even recording IF recording were that easy. The drivers for firewire and windows 7 are nearly useless! I should have done more research before I bought it, but I have as yet to record a track without getting glitchy buffer errors. Yes I have tweaked windows for sound. I turned off all the visual effects and themes. I closed unnecessary services. Still, I get glitchy recordings. Extremely Bummed! That said, the preamps are amazingly quiet and neutral, the EQ is useful, and the routing options are brilliant.
