Sound: Received the kit, put the stock heads on, immediately played a gig. Bass Drum is killer, Toms sound great - awesome sustain & response. Small tom & snare come with heads already on with top & bottom heads tensioned the same so be sure re-tune to your liking and you will be more than satisfied. Feature: shell pack only Ease of Use: I you are an experienced drummer, you can get awesome tones from this kit in your sleep, no experience, no problem...Ludwig offers some free setup videos on their website that are TOO easy to follow. Quality: No worries...well built kit. Value: Yes! The Wow Factor: Stock photos serve an injustice to this kit. The colors and design of this kit are really cool, especially if you like some the vintage looks of the 60's- 70's. Overall: I'll play 'em til they can't be played any more.

Sound: The sound is perfection. The bass drum sounds like a cannon. Even with the stock heads the toms sound full and deep. I play post-rock and jazz and it does fantastic with both styles. Feature: The finish is rediculous. The pictures do not compare to the drum set. It's seriously the coolest kit i have ever seen in my entire life. Ease of Use: Great kit for experienced players. Quality: It looks good. It looks like it belongs in an attic in the 1960's. All the hardware is shiny. If i had an opportunity to customize a kit, it would look exactly like the Element Se Bandana! Value: i got what i paid for DEFFFFFF cheap price for the quality. Seriously... Manufacturer Support: Ludwig is a solid company. If you go on their website they have videos on how to tune your drums. All and all ludwig is the way to go. Overall: I will be playing this kit until it falls apart. likeley many many years of use.

Overall: I walked into the drum shop that i have used for nearly 20 years intending to purchase a ddrum kit until i saw this kit. i was floored. i have owned a 1954,1966 and this 2009 ludwig kits and the quality is above board! the price made my wallet very happy. the fact that it is a limited production special edition kit in emerald bandana sparkle was the nail in the coffin, online photos do not do the element series drums justice.these look awesome,sound awesome and get attention! thank you ludwig for bringing back quality and affordability.
