I am the proud owner of this arch top guitar for about a month now and I am thrilled with it .I don't what to put it down (except to stare at it ,it is beautiful) the carved top makes a" resonant " sound that is different from flat tops. this guitar plays great right out of the box ,the setup was right on the money. I have added finger rest to it and,it looks great. I have played out with it a few times so far and have received many complements on both its looks and sound. I have used it on everything from jazz ,rock&roll, and blue grass etc. It adds a dimension that works well with all types of music . yes I am happy with this guitar. yes!

Musical Background:

I have been playing music for more than 40yrs and play most anything with strings

Musical Style:

Funny- I accidentally won one on auction site at the same time I placed an order for a new one, so I got to compare two- I wound up keeping both for over a year until I decided I had to pick just one, which was difficult,- both well-made, beautiful, excellent playing guitars, with slightly different personalities. I kept the one with a bit stronger mids because it recorded a bit easier. The vintage V-shape neck might be a problem for some, but I love it, having owned a few really old archtops in the past. Acoustic archtops are an odd duck. I use them for western swing music, big band, and it's also noteworthy that they were the choice of some early American folk musicians like Mother Maybelle Carter, and they appear frequently in a lot of roots music. While they don't have the balance and sustain of a flatttop, they have punch, volume, and attack friendly to those genres, and leave themselves up to experimenting with others. I'm a pro player, which means I don't buy $2000 guitars to drag around when it's 10 below zero. I look for the most excellent for the most reasonable price. This guitar meets both criteria superbly. I also needed a blues/rockabilly guitar, so yesterday I ordered the Loar 302T from Zzounds- I'll have it in a few days and I'll write a review for it- stay tuned.

Musical Background:

Pro player for almost 40 years- all styles, anything with strings. Played professionally all my life

Musical Style:

Pro sideman- punk to polka, classical, roots, jazz, -you name it I've made a few bucks playing it.
