10 out of 10Feature:
Well to start off it has 4 amazing channels which really deliver what I want from them. Its most useful features are its 6 built in effects which really would give life to the tone. Also it has a 1/8 inch port so that you can jam when you are all alone via an mp3 or cd player. Did I mention it also has a built in noise gate? I gave it a 10 for a reason... again it is worth every penny you spent on it!
Quality:
Well i could safely say that the line 6 is a tank! I have used it in jamming sessions and for really long practice intervals and it has never failed me! It is really sturdy! Between you and me I am around 220 lbs and like i sit on this beast during practice sessions and yeah it holds.
Value:
Well yeah I really love it! Well i was hunting for my practice amp after my first amp blew up, my choices were a Marshall 30 watt amp (don't really know the model but it was a 30 watt), A 30 watt Orange amp (it says its brand was Orange, the amp was also orange color), another stupid brand less amp, and a line 6 spider III amp. I listened to the persuasive speeches of the retailers and found the Marshall promising but its price was about 22,000 pesos and the line 6 was only 13,000 pesos (its 42 pesos = 1 dollar) and yeah i tested both amps and the line 6 was way better than the Marshall (Insane V.S. Marshall distortion). and after 3 months of rocking hard with it, i have no regrets!
Desirability:
Well it really looks hot! I mean it is flowing with amplifier sex appeal! It looks even better if your guitar is of the Flying v shape not to mention it really looks good on a Jackson King V! Even on stage my friends would tell me it stands out from the rest!
Sound:
First of all I got this amp as a practice amp because my old amp from a trainer pack blew up. Secondly i have tested all the Spider III amps and they all rock! The sound of this monster is awesome! From clean to insane they are worth the price alone. All the channels rock but the insane channel rules over everything else! I play heavy metal and all i do is just set it to insane channel, distortion boost it a little and Iam ready to rock! For a practice amp... the sound is already worth the price!
Ease of Use:
What i like about Line 6 is that they try to make the product as user friendly as possible. I just got this amp and on that same day i got it i already knew how to use it. And on the following day, I knew everything about it from head to toe. Also the manual is very helpful. Again it gets a 10 on this.
Support:
Yeah i have not serviced this guy yet so i cant answer this. But i have a Pod XT Live and Line 6 supports it well.
Overall:
i would be satisfied with this product until i get myself a Vetta 2! but yeah its doing well with my Hamer Sunburst and my Line 6 Pod XT Live. Like i said in the value section i compared this baby to a Marshall and it held its ground pretty well. Even my Marshall fan cuz would like to use my amp during gigs because of its unforgiving Insane channel! Do yourself a favor get yourself one of these if your new to the guitar world and trust me... you wont be disappointed!

10 out of 10Feature:
The 4 amp models are adequate. I'm not much into the Metal or Insane channels, so I use the Clean and Crunch channels. The 4 models should have been (for me), Clean (Twin Reverb), Tweed (Bassman or such), Cruch (Plexi with boost but no variac), Brit Hi-Gain ("Plexi Variac" from the PODxt). It'd be nice if Line 6 would let you download the 4 models you want for YOUR Spider III combo and install them to make your very own custom Spider. The effects are adequate, but they should have added a depth control. The "Smart Control" is certainly easy, but one extra "Tweak" knob added would have made it awesome. This amp is designed to be easy, so it's not exactly geared toward someone who is a "tweakhead" and needs control over every little aspect (I have a PODxt for that). I do wish they had included a foot-switch to enable/disable the effects and/or to switch channels... but you have to buy that separately and it can be expensive depending on what you get. Hard to make an incredible amp for under $200 and also include a $100 foot-switch tho' I'd guess... ;-)
Quality:
The is pretty solid without being too heavy. The knobs seem rugged. The jacks are tight and make a good connection. The power cable can be removed from the unit while in transit. I would expect quality from Line 6 and they deliver.
Value:
You can't get an amp that's this flexible, loud and sounds this good for the same price.
Desirability:
It's small... but not too small that it sounds silly (like a lot of practice amps out there). It's light - I don't like hauling around a big amp if I don't have to... but I want the thing to sound GOOD (and it does). It's sharp... nice grey tweed and tolex look. I like the knobs they chose to use... they look and feel nice.
Sound:
I've been very impressed with the sound of the amp. The amp is definitely LOUD for a 1x12 30W amp. The custom Celestion speaker is the key to this little puppy's great sound I'm guessing.
Ease of Use:
Pretty simple... I'm not sure how they could make it easier. It works like a normal amp, but you can save your knob settings and recall them by pushing a channel button. The Clean channels is always the Clean channel, and you dial in the sound you want, hold the Clean button until if flashes, and your settings are saved, effects and all. Each channel button can be set up this way... then you just push the buttons to recall your sounds.
Support:
I've never had a problem with phone and email support with Line 6. I had an original POD and they were quick to help me get the ROM upgrades for it when they came out. I haven't had any issues with the Spider.
Overall:
It's an awesome value. Despite my personal preference issues with the amp selections and limited control of the effects, it does the job nicely. I wanted something that wasn't too big to lug around but still sounded great, and loud enough to play for band practice and small gigs without sacrificing the sound quality... and it definitely hit the mark. I play straight into the amp with great results, and I've also run my PODxt into the MP3/CD input and it sounds awesome. I played it with my band last weekend in a large garage with a PA and other amplified instruments, drum set, etc., making lots of noise and it cut through perfectly... and sounded like I wanted it to sound.
