I had fun playing this synth, it had fantastic sounds and some great features that I didn't fully explore like the sequencer and arpeggiator. The fatal flaw was the bad keybed. Other issues I found are no buttons to change tones in Combi mode, has to be done on the touch screen which isn't easy to do quickly due to the small mute and solo button images. Also, when changing from sound to sound, notes get cut off. The latter 2 issues may be manageable for non live performers, or those who wish to spend more money and time with midi pedals.
Sound
Though the variety of sounds and customization on this synth is nothing short of fantastic, the keybed of the 73-key and 61-key versions is terrible and suffers from a serious design flaw. I would not recommend this keyboard unless you get the 88-key version or you wish to use another midi device to use the synth and never play on it's keys. On the 73- and 61-key versions you have to press down with much more force at the rear of the keys in order for the keys to engage. This makes it difficult or impossible to play in certain scales. I've never experienced this on any other synth I've owned or played going back to the mid-80s.
Features
I would say as far as features the synth is very good, especially a synth in this price range.
Ease of Use
For any of these high tech synths there is a learning curve, but I'd say this one isn't too bad.
Quality
As mentioned before, the 73- and 61-key versions have a design flaw in the playability of the actual keyboard.
Value
it would be if it weren't for the flawed design of the keybed.
Manufacturer Support
Not applicable, did not deal with Korg customer service.
