10 out of 10Feature:
Built very well. Adjusts very easily. 'Feels' like it'll last a while. Prior to purchasing this stand I was using On Stage stands which, while inexpensive, are not very stable, and they feel as though they are about to fall apart any minute! This K & M stand feels as though it will last forever. I would have liked to have had the option to purchase a purpose-made carry bag for it.
I would have given it a 10 if it would have had a couple more cable clamps, and if it could have extended about six inches taller than it does. Other than those two issues I can't fault it.
Quality:
Looks great. Works great. Looks and feels like it's made to last forever!
Value:
A tad on the expensive side for a low profile (smaller-than-usual) mic stand, otherwise I'd have given it a 10.
Desirability:
Best mic stand I've owned up to this point. But it's a tool to get a job done, not a member of the opposite sex, so no sex appeal to this one. Sorry!
Sound:
N/A. It might make a noise if it falls over during a performance, but it hasn't done that yet (unlike my other lesser-quality microphone stands!).
Ease of Use:
Unless someone invents a mic stand that sets itself up...this one is as good as I need.
Support:
Haven't had the need to contact K & M support so can't speak to this aspect of the product.
Overall:
Can't imagine wanting another low profile mic stand, unless I can get one that opens to about six inches taller. This one will/should last me as long as I'll need it.
