Overall: Needed a boom to get a mic over some equipment and closer to my normal area. This works however because of its light build and me using a larger condensor mic, I have to be gental as to not have it fall over. It secures well with no slipping where it tightens, but you should be aware that extending the arm with a heavy item at the end will be limited. If I was using it for more modest needs, it would do just fine though not likely to purchase again for my needs. Good price

Sound: N/A Feature: Has the required features for a boom mic stand: adjustable height, adjustable boom horizontally & vertically, folds for storage/transport. Ease of Use: Adjustments are obvious & easy. Quality: I just received it and tried it only once, so I can't comment on long-term durability. However it seems sturdy for the price. It feels solid and the adjustments seem to lock tightly. Fit and finish are excellent. I can't vouch that it'll hold up in the long run, but right now I'm very happy with it. I'm sure it doesn't compare to an expensive "pro" model, but for the money I think it's great. Value: Based solely on a first impression, I think it's well worth the money. Manufacturer Support: N/A Overall: I chose this item after a couple hours of Internet research on inexpensive boom mic stands. I'm strictly amateur and limited my search to the $20 - $40 range. Based on features and reviews, this model seemed most promising. My initial impression is that this was the right cost/quality combination. The most important aspect in the long run is the integrity of the locking adjustments. It's a bummer when a mike won't stay in place. It's too soon for me to judge on that, but the locks seem good out of the box.
