Feature:
Hardware is well thought out. Speakon connectors are really nice.
Quality:
Very well built. Will take plenty of road use.
Value:
The MP225 is not inexpensive. They do compare very well to Mackie and Peavey models that are a bit more expensive. This is a very good value in a high end speaker.
Desirability:
If you're into black monoliths, this is your speaker. With some light on the front of the cabinets, its fun to see those big ol' JBL 15s lurking in there.
Sound:
Extremely clear! Very low distortion at levels near the threshold of pain. They even sound great at low levels. Others have said here that subwoofers should be used with these cabs in larger venues. All I can add is that it certainly seems to reproduce bass, kick drums, and other low frequencies very well in smaller venues. These cabs are pretty efficient, not needing a great deal of power to produce high levels. Vocals sound soooo good through these.
Support:
Too early to give an opinion, but JBL has a pretty good reputation. Professional sound is a big part of their business.
Overall:
Same sounds you're making, only much, much louder. Exactly what it should be. Nothing added, nothing lost.
