I’ve had the guitar for a few days now. Out of the three seven strings I’ve purchased, this is definitely the best. The neck and fingerboard feel amazing. I’ve never felt more comfortable on a seven string before! It’s a great guitar and I’m overall happy with my purchase.A few down sides though1. Direct mounted pick ups. This is my first guitar with Direct Mount pick ups, and I believe on others like this, you can raise and lower the pickups. That doesn’t seem to be the case on this guitar though. Pick ups are set where they are.2. The Floyd Rose Whammy Bar does not stay locked in. Hit the bar two times while it’s locked and it loosens up. 3. Tuning keys feel awful. They are so tight and choppy feeling. It’s really the cheapest feature of this guitar. The tuning keys just suck. Good news though, I’ve only tuned it once beyond the locking nut.4. The fine tuners are also tough to work with. I don’t know why, but they are.5. The finish at the neck joint isn’t as seamless a transition as I thought when I ordered this. It’s not bad, but it’s an ugly joint and you do feel it when you slide to the high notes. It won’t hinder you any, but it’s weird. There’s just an obvious line of glue or lacquer finishing. I’m not sure, but it surprised me. Over all, I really like the guitar, it looks sick and feels amazing. I’m happy with my purchase for the most part.I don’t feel it’s a $1,000 guitar. But I bought it at that price and am keeping it.
