Sound: The sound that comes from the RR5 is deep, full of warmth and power. You start to fall in love the second you start playing chords. The SH-4 pick ups sound incredible and it is very unlikely for anyone to replace them. I replaced mine for a Dave Mustaine Live Wire pick up set because of a specific sound I was looking for, but I had zero complaints with the original pick ups. I didn't even get rid of them, I plan on using them again. With distortion pedals it still provides the same clean and powerful sound. I don't like rating anything 10 on sound because each person has his own taste, but I really don't think anyone could go wrong with the sound that comes from this beauty. Feature: Great pickups, beautiful gold trim, shark inlays, rosewood fretboard, strong fret wire, great bridge, and a thin neck great for speed/shred/thrash metal. Ease of Use: Very easy, 3 knobs to control volume and neck/bridge tones. It's a guitar, can't complain at all. Quality: I'm not big on imported guitars due to bad experience with Korean guitars, but I must say I wouldn't even look twice before going Japanese again. Their quality is no different than American in my humble opinion. Value: Personally, for the money it is unbeatable. This is not a cheap guitar by all means but next to a King V, I really believe there is little to no difference between both and the King V is well over 2,000$. Manufacturer Support: Jackson is a very helpful company that looks to make sure you get 100% from any product they sell. I didn't need any support with this guitar but I have with previous Jacksons, and I'm never worried about any problems I may encounter because they are short lived. The Wow Factor: How do you not find this classic jazz style color on a shape that SCREAMS metal. Overall: There is truly nothing more I can say, but if you're thinking about it then get it. There is not a single chance you'd ever look back.

Sound: beautiful warm tone. flawless harmonics! every note in a chord sings Feature: the features that grab me are the playability above all. this guitar is extremely light and well balanced its hard to believe such awesome tone can come from a guitar this light. knobs are perfectly placed. Ease of Use: a manual isnt even necessary for this axe.plug it in and go! Quality: i intend to be buried with this guitar and i dont plan on dyin anytime soon! Sound: i love the sound of this guitar. It has an awesome clean sound, and an even better sound when you add distortion. Pickups are nice. No need to replace them with something else. Feature: 3 knobs: a volume knob for each pickup and a tone knob. Ease of Use: easy to use, duh, its a guitar Quality: Super reliable, awesome finish, there are some blemishes, but thats only because i got it used. You'll never need something to back it up. This is all you need. It seems that it will last a long time. Value: I wouldn't buy it for the list price, but it's definately one of the best looking guitars out there and one of the best sounding. Manufacturer Support: dont know The Wow Factor: i can't get over how awesome it looks. The shape, the finish, the pinstripes, the gold hardware, the shark fin inlays. Also, the neck is really thin so you can play super fast. I love it. Overall: I'll expect to have this for at least 5 years, but i'll probably have it longer than that. I love the entire randy rhoads series of guitars. I'll eventually get the RR1, and I might sell this when i get that, i dont know yet. Overall, this guitar is awesome. Definately buy it if you find one somewhere for 800 dollars or less.

Sound: This guitar sounds great. awsome pickups, neck through construction gives great resonance. Feature: this is one hot looking guitar ivory paint with black pin-stripes look great. the shape screams metal. the gold hardware looks great Ease of Use: very playable. nice action slender neck allow fingers to burn across the fret board. Quality: this seems like a very solid guitar. the only problem I can see is heavy muting tends to wear the gold finish off the bridge rather quickly. Value: at $1200 a bit expensive for a import, but very well crafted and well worth the money. Manufacturer Support: unknown The Wow Factor: when I first saw this guitar i feel in love with its looks I played it a few times then bought it. every time I play it I like it a little more. Overall: I'd love to someday purchase the RR1 or the jackson american Phil Collen, but this is really a great guitar that I'm sure to enjoy for years to come, and will keep as a important part pf my collection.

Sound: This guitar is decent for live but sucks for recording. It has a very 'metal' sound to it. Personally it's a bit too heavy sounding for me. This guitar has no tone, in my opinion, it just sounds like sound, it doesn't sound like music. It's waayy to heavy for me, and I play mostly hard rock. I really truely only recommend this guitar to someone who plays really really REALLY heavy music. Feature: It has 3 knobs; a volume knob for each pickup, and a tone knob. It also has a pickup selector.... not too many features... Ease of Use: Obviously, it's kinda hard to play sitting down which really is a big deal for me. I prefer sitting down when just playing for fun. It has the lowest action I've ever played, which makes playing solos a breeze. Quality: This is what I hate most about the guitar. The quality of the paintjob is awesome, and obviously, the shape and design are awesome, but there is a downside. The actual quality of the hardware isn't too good. The gold hardware scratches very easily, and the tuning knobs are terrible. This guitar is always going out of tune. Another downside is the pickup rings are made of plastic. They broke very easily and I had to replace them with metal pickup rings. If you get this guitar, make sure you take very very good care of it, or else the hardware won't last too long before it starts looking terrible. Value: Definately don't buy it for retail price. It's not worth it. Luckily I didn't pay too much for it. I'd much rather spend my money on another guitar. Manufacturer Support: dont know The Wow Factor: The only reason I give this guitar a 10 is because at first glance, it looks good and sounds good on paper, I mean, the design, the gold hardware, the Semour Duncan pickups... it seems that it has it all. I've had this guitar for a year now. Before I owned the guitar, I was dying to get it, and then I finally got it, and was pretty disappointed. Overall: Well as of now I own 3 electric guitars, and this is by far my least favorite electric guitar. I plan on selling it soon. Again, maybe you'd like this guitar alot more than me if you play death metal, but this guitar isn't doing too much for me right now.

Sound: Awsome metal sounds through a high gain amp and neck through resonance is amazing. Feature: Neck through construction, pickups are good quality, alder body, with maple neck, awsome paintjob (white with pinstripes. Ease of Use: Easy to use, string through body is easy to replace strings, good action, fast neck Quality: awsome sound and good quality and durability Value: A bit on the pricey end but well worth it. Manufacturer Support: Jackson support is ok just needs to be quicker. Sound: this guitar sounds amazing. i play it through a 5150 amp. to the guy who said the guitar is "too heavy"... turn down your distortion! secondly what did you think you were getting with this guitar. i can play any kind of music on this guitar; really heavy, nice clean sound with the neck pickup, or i kick back my distortion and get a nice rock sound. great sounding guitar. but a good guitar player will sound good no matter what kind of guitar they are playing so anyone thinking this will make them "sound better" should keep practicing or look elsewhere. this isnt your "guitar of destiny". Feature: came with a hardshell case. very basic features. good seymour duncan pickups that are switchable 3 ways. neck-thru is certainly a plus. Ease of Use: ease of use? if you are good and have a good amp it sounds killer. if mommy and daddy got this for your first guitar and yer playing it through that 15watt practice amp...probably wont sound as good as it should. but overall all its very easy to use, plug in, turn on amp, pluck strings, PRESTO! (difficult, i know) Quality: people always complain. oh its made in japan, its made in korea. well when is the last time you bought something "made in the usa" that was actually good...i cant remember either. anyway its made in korea and i was more than pleased with the quality of this instrument. the gold hardware corrodes after some time so be proactive when taking care of it. Value: the price they are selling this guitar for now is not worth it. i paid 999.99 brand new 3 years ago and even then i thought it was a bit overpriced. i would try and find it gently used somewhere. Manufacturer Support: havent had to deal with them but like most customer support im sure they are a hassle and dont actually care about their customers. The Wow Factor: its a jackson randy rhoads...and a pretty good one at that. every metal player should own one. Overall: overall, i was generally pleased with my purchase and this is my "metal guitar". at this point in time if i were looking at this I might lean toward those Dean Dime V-back Razors because they look killer and have a trem. string thru body on this is nice and hassle free but sometimes you just want to dive bomb. good day people!
