zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us.
Feature:
I love the simplicity of this axe. One volume knob and the pickup selector is all I need. The tremolo on this guitar is one of the best I have used and staying in tune while diving low is no worry. The only feature I would add to this product would be to have a 24 fret neck as opposed to the shortened 22 frets, but this is not a necessity to thrash on this thing. The biggest thing I would change is the Duncan designed pups as I am planning to throw in some passive EMGs pretty soon to give it some added umph.

Quality:
This is an incredible piece of work. The polka dot finish on this thing screams look at me and although the body design differs from the original rhodes classic v, its shape adds a modern look to a classic. Other than a loose volume knob that fell off in the box upon delivery, this is an excellent guitar in this price range.

Value:
Although this is one of my favorite guitars, I do feel that this guitar is a bit pricey and should fall in the $300-400 price range; however, I feel that I am getting the best for what I have spent.

Desirability:
It is a definite attention getter and one of the best since the Les Paul Bullseye and Buzzsaw were released. This axe screams for attention.

Sound:
The mid-range sound quality is in line with the mid-range pricing. Both pups are kinda muddy; however, the harmonics are pretty decent. The pups have a good bluesy tone and are good for southern rock; however, if you want more british or modern metal sounding tones a pup upgrade is needed.

Ease of Use:
Even with the stock pups, you can still shred and get some decent harmonics out of this axe. The lack of tone knobs doesn't cause me to shed any tears as I normally turn mine all the way up and leave them there, adjusting the tone from the amp interface.

Support:
I only rate the support a 10 because the product was good enough that I haven't had to contact support.

Overall:
This axe has become a permanent player in my stable and I would definitely replace if lost or stolen. Although I am a Les Paul man all the way, this should be an item any serious player should consider.

Feature:
Jackson liscensed floyd rose!?!?!?! It's worth it. I would love to see 24, maybe even 25 frets instead of the 22 fret neckboard, but the guitar's prescence makes up for it

Quality:
This guitar screams "look at me!!!" It's great for gigs, I've played the hell out of mine. The only issue I had was that the finish on the tips was wearing a bit when it arrives, but some household black paints gets rid of that

Value:
Similar Jackson guitars sell around $1000 so if you're on a tight budget and want a great sound, this is the guitar for you. I was looking for the polka dots in my jackson, and this one is already as good as any other.

Desirability:
This guitar IS an attention grabber. Randy Rhoads should be the real attention grabber if you bring this guitar up in a coversation

Sound:
This guitar is excellent, never had any problems with the pick-ups it comes with. Don't worry about replacing the pick-ups, just throw it on a Marshall stack and it'll have an unbeatable sound.

Ease of Use:
The neck is great for sweeping and playing fast. The jumbo frets pretty much eliminate that annoying buzzing you get when playing low distortion or clean.

Support:
No idea, guitars worked perfectly

Overall:
Certainly worth buying whether you play blues, Classical guitar, Death Metal, or Thrash, considering I play all four. I would install new pick-ups to improve the sound, but it's worth it. I would certainly replace this guitar. Sure, I'll buy othe guitars, but this one will be a gig certain guitar for years

Feature:
Simplicity is Key, Master volume and stright wired for tone so it always has bit and a three way pickups selecter not a whole lot more you could ask for. I also hear that the Jackson licensed Floyds are damn near as good as the real deal

Quality:
It's a Jackson they're on of my top three manufactures Jackson, ESP, Fender. my only quam with Jackson's is that they do not have a neck heal at the base of the headstock on the back side of the neck makeing the neck a little bit more likely to warp and bend at the piont where the two pices of wood (I.E. headstock and neck are acctually two diffrent pices of wood) are fused together.

Value:
Okay I think your getting a smokin deal especially for an Axe like this it's Jackson it's a Rhoads they all play beautifuly. My only quam again is the Duncan Desighned pickups

Desirability:
Dude it has F'n Polkadots it's Randy's dig man that was his thing. I'd gig the hell outta this guitar. It's an attention grabber for sure. It's Randy's signanture shape and his signature paint scheme. This thing SCREAMS spotlight solo to me.

Sound:
The only reason I'm giving it a nine is because the pickups are Duncan Designed not acttual Duncans, I plan on Changeing out the pickups for a SHN2 Jazz in the Neck and a SHTB4 JB in the bridge to capture Randy's tone. Though I dont want to coppy cat I want it to sound similar it is HIS design after all

Ease of Use:
It's a Rhoad's I have yet to come accross a Rohads that dosent play like butter bolt-on or not they all play amazingly well, I love the Jackson Necks thin and wide the make sweeping alot easier.

Support:
I've never had to deal with the support for my ESP and I dont see why I'd have to call the suport line for this Jackson, Jackson is one of the largest and most trrusted as well as one of the best known guitar manufactures in the world, they've been around since the early eighties I'd belive that, that stands to show they make a quality product if they didn't they wouldn't still be around

Overall:
Jacksons are amazing guitars. The vocalist in my band is buying this for me as a valentines gift we're ordering it next Sunday, which means it will show up on valentines day or a week before then. This guitar is no Joke everything I've ever wanted. It has the simplicity and ease of parts replacement of a bolt-on, a floyd and decent but not amazing stock pickups. Simplicity in electronics It's an amazing instrument.

Feature:
Maybe i rated this a little high, but it has a liscensed floyd rose, 3 way switch and a volume control......but that's all this guitar needs.

Quality:
I got a satin black model and it's had a few bangs. The long spike has had a bit of the finish taken off on the corner, but a little black nail varnish covers it. The floyd rose was pretty poor when using 9 gauge strings, but with 10's it works perfectly. You keep having to tighten the volume knob and the jack input but hey. The screws in the bridge and locking nut are pretty poor. The locking nut ones broke and i replaced the nut which hasn't let me down. The machine heads are good as is the quality of the neck and body.

Value:
With a bit extra spent on a better nut and pickups this guitar is awesome and would still be at a price you can pay for a guitar which is still pretty average. It's priced about right.

Desirability:
What can you say, this guitar is as sexy as it gets. The satin black is just to die for.

Sound:
For the price, the sound is great. The neck pickup is incredibly smooth for lead playing, both pickups have a very high output, lacks presence though. I changed the pickups to Duncans SH-4 JB on the bridge and a SH-1n on the neck and it sounds awesome. Just put it through a marshall, leave the EQ flat and this thing sings. Not for anyone who plays a lot of clean guitar.......but if you do....why are you looking at a Randy Rhoads V?

Ease of Use:
It took a little while to get used to it but once i did, it was like a dream, this guitar is so easy to play, it suits my playing style perfectly (Heavy rock, metal). It's also incredibly light and perfectly balanced (no neck dives when you let go). I've got some higher priced instruments (Mavericks, BC Rich's etc) but this eclipses them all in terms of playability.

Support:
don't know, never used them

Overall:
With a bit of work this is a great guitar. with no added work it's still good. I've got a number of guitars and have used many others in a similar and higher price band and i've decided that if i were to get another electric it would be another one of these.

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us.
Feature:
As i said the pickups are horrible. Anyone who would think otherwise has clearly never heard of clarity. Which for leads...plain and simple doesnt happen. The LICENSED floyd does is very stubborn and doesnt like to be yanked and stay in tune so i dont even use it. it feels and looks like plastic. I have an ESP LTD alexi 600 with an origional floyd and its amazing! Divebombs for days and never out of tune. Volume knob as well obviously. Does what it should. Oh and theh volume knob is the cheapest feeling knob ive everseen. it feels like its aboutto fall off constantly. The locks for the "floyd" are crap.

Quality:
This can be an amazing guitar but def. needs some adjustments to it...too many really. Its easyer to just get a different guitar.

Value:
For this kind of money you should be able to have a great guitar from the git go. Buy an ibanez instead or an esp/ltd.

Desirability:
I'm going to keep this guitar but mainly because of respect for randy and all the adjustments ive invested in it haha

Sound:
pickups are very cheap duncans. very dirty and playing live sound horrible loud. not much difference from the neck pickup and bridge so the 3 way is almost pointless. But its an alder body which in my opinion sounds so much better than mahogany.

Ease of Use:
The weight and feel of a rhoads guitar period is simply the best. Neck shape, balance, the light weight, and sizes of horns make this a great feeling guitar. I cant find a single flaw with using the guitar.

Support:
Havnt had to contact anyone.

Overall:
i belive the guitar will last with or without changing out parts. it would be an amazing beginners guitar because of the simplicity of playing it if it was cheaper.
