Feature:
I like the fact that is a metal casing, however, it still lacks the true "stomp box" strength and feel. I'm afraid of breaking it to be honest. I love the ton-lok's though. Great idea.
Quality:
Looks very nice, not sure how durable this will be. Seems like it may be a bit flimsy. Still, much better than plastic. Casing should be similar to that of the Tube Screamer.
Value:
Excellent value. The best sound for under $100. Period.
Desirability:
It is a practical addition to a modern rock guitarists rig. The sound is much better than its looks.
Sound:
This product does very well for alternative/punk rock. I have been searching for a raw, edgy, tone enriched distortion that is not all "fuzz" and I think I've found it with the SM7. It is very gainy and that is a must for gigging and rehearsing. Lots of edge, and cut- through tonal qualaties. I have been running it all by its self and it sounds great. .....much better than the Ibanez stomp boxes from 5 years ago.
Overall:
I expect to have this product for an excess of 1yr. Because of new technological advances, occuring daily, the next best stomp box is just around the corner. If this one holds true to being the best fit for me, than I will stick with it. It is a good product.
