"upgarde to a sr495"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I plan on keeping this bass for a long time! I traded in my old Jazz on the 495 because I wanted a new bass and that was the only way I could aford one! But I will never trade this one in...I think the 495 is a keeper!
Sound
I have always loved sound gear bass guitars. I upgraded from a Fender Jass (M). The sound of the SR495 is so much warmer than the sound of the jazz...I use to find that the jazz had some really nice highs but the lows weren't that great! The SR495 give me a much fuller sound! I give this one a 9 becasue there is always room for improvements in sound and tone!
Features
When I was thinking about buying a new bass I was look have the SR405 at first. The reason why I changed my mine and spent another 100 bucks (canadian) on the SR495 was because the 495 had a much better bridge, the 495 added a mid control to the eq. The solid body of the 495 give a much richer sound, and I love the wooded look!
Quality
the 495 is a top quality bass guitar! it is a lot cheeper than alot of 5 strings I looked at while trying to decide what to buy...I don''t think you can go wrong with buying this bass!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to contact them! I have only had this bass for 6 or 7 months!
The Wow Factor
This bass looks great on or off stage! I have taken it to gigs with me...when our band is off stage I have had guys come up to me and say..."man you bass looks sweet" The CK colored hardware really adds alot to the wood color!
