Hope it helps take me and my band to the next level. I was having problems with my neck and I wanted a lighter bass then my jazz. This works well, great for slapping, and much lighter on my neck. Much less strain on my left hand for chordal work because of the slimmer neck. A lot more options in the tone department and is a better bass to work with effects because of the greater tonal control.
Sound
Nice round tone with a huge amount of options for manipulating my sound. Works really well with my pedals and adding effects makes more sense and sounds better with the SR1400 then with my Fender Jazz.
Features
EQ is great. Would have liked a strap along with the gig bag. Gig bag is nice though.
Ease of Use
Very easy to learn and get a feel for this bass.
Quality
Came from zzounds well setup and ready to go. Especially shipping in this heat, the bass held up well and was ready to play pretty much out of the shipping box. Just tune up and go.
Value
Good value. You get what you pay for.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know yet. Haven't had any issues yet.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT BASS!!!! I Love this bass the most of all of my basses I own. All Ibanez, but still this one reigns supreme. The quality, the playability, the tones I can get out of this bass without even tweaking the EQ controls too much....PHENOMINAL!!! I can go from R&B, to Funk, to Rock & the bass has the ability to adapt to ALL of those with precision tone control. LOVE IT!!!! Plus the bass looks awesome!!!! (Deep Ocean Flat)

Man its everything i wanted in my bass the diverse sounds you get it even makes a cheap amp sound great love it.... just wish the finish was a little more glossy but it is natural

This is by far one of the best basses I have ever played!!! It's lightweight, great sound, great look. It's all the things u would spend weeks shopping around looking for in a bass.

Received my Ibanez sr1400e way sooner than expected and because I'm new at bass guitar took it to a guitar repair man. I know that not what they are called but he told me the bass was in supreme condition. I'm happy and thank you zZounds.
