Sound: Single coil sounds exactly like a strat. humbuckers are higher output than you would think. Zero Resistance Tremolo is awesome!! never goes out of tune. they even made the micro tuner for the low E able to raise up higher than the other strings, so you can tune into drop D without unclamping the neck locks. Feature: included an instrument cable (low quality) and allen wrenches. i was also very supprised, it came with a year subscription to rolling stones magazine, how cool is that?!?! Quality: inlays are amazing and completely smooth to the fretboard. tremolo is all around awesome. little disappointed with the color, looks better thr further away you get. the "metallic" color looks more like somone just put dots all over the guitar. the metallic color on my schecter is much better, but schecter is well known for the awesome appearence of their guitars. Value: i dont think you can get a higher quality guitar for the price. The Wow Factor: paint job is a little &^%$ed up, i have the black lava metallic, but the blackened chrome on all the hardware is to die for. Overall: i think this guitar will last me maaaannnny years.

Sound: Sounds great, can get very good sounds from it. The only problem is the single has a hum. Luckily my amp takes away from that, but it could cause a problem for most others. Feature: The ZR is amazing, I can go diving for hours and it stays in tune perfectly. Value: This guitar is relatively cheap for the quality, making it a great intermediate guitar or a great second guitar. Manufacturer Support: Never needed anything. The Wow Factor: The body is beautifully made. It's so thin that it's just gorgeous. It's so different and slim that everybody loves it. The finish reflects light gorgeously. The ladies can't resist (I assume). Overall: I'll keep this until I wear it out, and probably keep it afterwards anyways. It's a great guitar. BUY BUY BUY!!!

Sound: The stock pickups have weak output. Feature: The ZR tremolo system is the absolute best. Return to pitch is perfect and the trem will not shift on you while playing double stops or large bends. Quality: Ths was a bit depressing. I owned a few Ibanez guitars (oldest of which is from 1986, newest is from 1994) and it seems that the quality of their midrange instruments have been dropping. It isn't because the guitars are made in Korea (for example I have a Schecter Diamond C-1 Classic, which is in the same price range. It finish is flawless). Most noticable is the poor quality of the inlays. A few of them are obviously miss cut, and are not properly matched to the fretboard. There are ridges and bumps where the inlays are placed into the fretboard are noticable while playing, but donot interfere. The binding is also poorly finished. The edges are poorly shapen and mushroom where it meets the frets. The fretwork and setup was perfect right out of the box. The finish on the body as well as the hardware was fine as well. The hardware itself is of good quality (so far). Value: Since Ibanez is the only one with a ZR trem, you can't reallt compare. However many guitars in this price range have much better attention to detail, which is lacking here. The mushrooming of the binding and weak pickups are correctable. The Wow Factor: The tremolo system is the best of the double locking types and addresses the common complaints on these type of systems. A definit mush have if you like spankin' the bar. :)

Sound: the five settings give such a wealth of sounds its hard to beleive from soft smooth jazz through fat blues to ripping rock. Feature: all components work perfectly and stays in tune!! Quality: had this guitar for six years still in perfect condition Value: very much Manufacturer Support: have never needed to contact support The Wow Factor: I have the electric blue, its small slim body is very sexy, it's light to carry. Low fast action,just so cool Overall: I have no desire to get rid of this model even if I buy another I would keep this, I am looking for an acoustic at the moment.
