The RG guitar line is the unchallenged standard in hard and heavy rock guitars. The RGA121 has a 24-fret thin, flat and fast Wizard Prestige neck, a Gibraltar Plus bridge, and Ibanez pickups. Pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock. Learn More...

5 out of 10Feature:
The maple top over the mahogany body with satin finish feels and looks great. The thinner RG body is light and easy to play gigs.
The Prestige neck is literally the fastest neck you can play...finely sanded neck with no paint and the thin wide profile is great.
The Gibraltar bridge is positioned perfectly..very much like a low profile whammy..so you can skate across it for shredage without any effort.
Without a whammy the strings have way better coupling to the body. They resonate so much you can feel the notes on your stomach.
Quality:
Perfect out of the box..
Value:
Can crush guitars that cost 3 times as much
Desirability:
One of their most understated looking guitars..it's a real sleeper for looks..BUT beautiful and very woodsy looking..a serious instrument
Sound:
The sound on this guitar is off the charts. It has so much tone and character. It definitely sounds as good as my Ibanez JS 1000. You can dial down the volume and play sweet....turn it up half way and add a little blues distortion...or crank it up full out and it screams but still maintains clarity of the note....amazing....
The artificial harmonics can be controlled to any degree. This really is a great axe..I speak with experience since I own way too many guitars..including 5 Gibsons..3 PRS'.
Ease of Use:
My neighbor can rip on this guitar and he's only 12
Support:
Haven't needed it

Perfect..BUY ONE before they raise the price!

10 out of 10Feature:
This thing has EVERYTHING that I need and lacks only two things I want. I know they aren't going to put in my choice of pickups so that wont count. I wouldn't mind another volume and tone control. That way I could leave the neck tapped for when I want to do some smooth jazz stuff and switch back to the full sound when I need it. The hard-tail bridge is exactly what I want and this thing has the best one I've ever seen. Easy for palm muting and loads of sustain.
Quality:
Quality is pure. Absolutely loved and perfect! I can't see anything on this going wrong. Then again I've never seen it with 12's or 13's on it. Only 9's.
Value:
Value is great. I just wish I could afford the thing but this is the price for an absolute quality guitar that isn't mass produced.
Desirability:
I can't seem to be able to pick 9999999999 on this thing so I guess a 10 will have to do. Even looking at the picture of this guitar gets me giddy and short on breath. The violin finish is pure awesomeness as is the feel and sound. I mean, any guitar that you can start playing Hypocrisy (death metal) on and have it sound good in an E tuning is pretty amazing. I dream of this guitar but it shall be a long while until I have one unfortunately.
Sound:
Even the sound of the stock pickups in this guitar is awesome. I am able to play all out metal while my V-Amp 2 (that's right. Modeler :P) is at full distortion then cut the volume in half and do some awesome rock or bring it almost all the way down, switch to the neck and do some jazz. My dream with this guitar would be to throw a PAF Pro in the neck and a D Sonic in the bridge while putting in a coil splitter.
Ease of Use:
Short version: EASY AS SH**!.
Longer version: The weight of this thing is perfect. The neck is perfect. It gives me more will to play guitar. If any of you like thin necks for easy use and a guitar that doesn't weigh too much but just enough then this thing is your absolute dream. $900 of pure inspiration and sound. I thank Ibanez for creating this beautiful guitar and hope that one day, I shall be able to own it. Until, I'm going across the street to use the one at the music store there.
Support:
I'm sure they'd give me all the support I'd need.
Overall:
I would be satisfied to my grave with this guitar and I would want this buried with me except for the fact that it would need to be played so I wouldn't have it buried with me. If they make the same thing in a 7 string then I would immediately buy it and love it. If it got lost, I would look for it forever and buy another if I couldn't find it. If it got stolen, I'd be arrested for the fate of the one who stole it. I would recommend this for anyone who loves playing guitar. There's everything to love about this guitar and nothing not to like. BUY ONE!

10 out of 10Feature:
woods! its all about the woods they used which set this guitar a cut above the rest. a mahogany body along with male top.....i thought to myself "this is sick" along with the rosewood neck it just rings them notes out for as long as you could possible ever need or want.
features are limited on this guitar and thats what makes it great. its no nonsence and all the bells and whistles are stripped off to alow a more natural guitar.the bridge is second to none along with gotoh heads this set up is truely great.
the most lavish thing about this guitar is the hardcase.....it really sets the guitar
Quality:
top quality......its like as if you went to ibanez, told them what you wanted in a guitr, then they took your measurements and made the guitar just for you
Value:
this thing blows a usa coustom strat out of the water and its 100s cheaper......speaks for itself
Desirability:
as much appeal as carmen electra sitting on your car bonnet
Sound:
this guitar is honestly the best guitar ive ever played. i walked into the store, the woods caught my attention straight away. when i picked it up it just felt like it was made for me by me.
im playing RG's all my playing life and id play nothing else due to its tones and sustain but as my playing style matured i found myself doing less whammy work and it kind of felt like a waste of time setting up the guitar each time i went on stage and every song after that.
i used to pray that i could find a guitar like an rg but with a more simpler set up, finally ibanez have realized that there is a great demand for this type of guitar and im so glad they decided to build it.
if your yousing a fender for heavy rock only because the guitar is reliable and sustain, then you better sell it on, cause no other set bridged guitar will ever beat this
Ease of Use:
body is comfortable, neck is great and fast, pick ups are sensational and this guitar is ready to play when you are, no messin around.... just take it out of the hardcase and plug it in
Support:
you deal through the dealer you bought it from and ibanez dealers are great guys.... they dont force the sale on you and they dont push a guitar on you that you wont need
Overall:
satisfied and then some......say no more

8 out of 10Feature:
Unfortunately there aren't a lot of extra features such as a locking nuts and a tremelo but honestly, none of that will matter to you. I have a pretty nice Jackson guitar with a floyd rose and locking nuts but I found that it's fun to use if you are into Satch and Vai but you won't miss it too much.
Quality:
Everything about this guitar from the head to the strap nut is pure quality...trust me
Value:
It's everything you payed and hoped for...
Sound:
This guitar sounds professional. You really get what you pay for with this model. I have played many different guitars and I'm very picky when it comes to narrowing down guitar selections and this one really stuck out for me. Trust me, every note and chord will be your best on this instrument.
Ease of Use:
This Guitar plays great it almost feels as if it was designed for you! The small neck and low action really feels great. You won't have much trouble playing this instrument at all. Most of the songs I play seem to be easier to perform.
Support:
I can't say because I have never needed it but I'm sure Ibanez would do anything for it's customers.

I've got violin color, it's gorgeous, very easy too play. espectially, the prestige neck feel effortless to play the high notes at 20th+ fret. Light weight. I can play for 3 hours without any shoulder problems.
Quality:
Good QC but need to set up. the action is a little bit too low, heard some buzz out of it.
Value:
My best guitar right now easy to play, gorgeous, light with the raw sound for metal and rock style.
Sound:
I've got raw distortion sound, Brighter clean sound than other ibzs.
