Ibanez RG752WMFX Prestige Electric Guitar, 7-String (with Case)

Down-tune in style with a striking wenge top, mahogany body and ultra-thin Wizard-7 neck. A pair of vintage-voiced DiMarzio PAF-7 pickups bring huge low-end.

Solid guitar with a cool look! MIJ is the way to go if your gonna go with Ibanez. Fret work on my model is decent better than most. The body is a 3 piece which is fine but why not just one slab of mahogany? They did a good job matching, i almost didn't notice it until examining the lower horn. Setup was nice straight from factory, the one thing that doesn't excite me is they used filler in the wenge on the neck that does not match no big deal they should have just let it be open pore. Also the top is thin but its wenge and looks way better in person!! Ive dropped mine to Ab with the 59's and it Djents!! The Oil finish feels amazing throughout, Prestige Wizard neck is one of the most comfortable necks I've played! Nice Job Ibanez

I love Ibanez guitars. The prestige line up is absolutely amazing in my opinion. With that being said, when i got this specific model, i was very let down. First things first, The stock pick ups in this guitar are not the best. I could see these being utilized in a Jazz setting or something. If your playing any kind of heavy metal these wont help you out. G string refuses to stay in tune. You can lock it, tighten the truss rod, and even use big ben's nut sauce to keep the saddle and nut lubed up, this thing will still come out of tune. The action out of the box was not the best. It did require some set up, but when you go to adjust the intonation, the tool that ibanez gives you will leave marks on the "Wenge" top. Allen wrench attachments are not long enough to properly twist. The Wenge top is not really a top, more so just an aesthetic look for the guitar. It serves absolutely no purpose and is extremely thin. Like maybe an eight of an inch thick or so. Very Very thin. The case is pretty sweet. Other than that, you'd be better off saving your money and purchasing a different seven string model from Ibanez. I was really let down with the overall quality of this guitar. Not worth the $1500.00 I highly suggest the RGD2127 line. Those things are built like tanks.
