10 out of 10Feature:
The tuner that comes in this pack is better than some, but it is not high quality. It is a little vague, concidering it only has LEDs to show how sharp or flat the note is. The picks are useless to me, as I prefer the sound produced by fingers. The strap is ok, a leather would be better, but that would come with a much better guitar.
Quality:
Nothing to compare it to, it's the only one I've played.
Value:
I think the price is ok for what comes with it.
Desirability:
Looks ok, kinda like a Strat, but a bass.
Sound:
When tuned correctly, the bass sounds very nice. However, when detuned, some of the positions buzz if you misplace your fingers even the smallest bit. There are a lot of tone options due to the individual volume controls for each pickup. The amp is pretty good, concidering it's a 10 watt.
Ease of Use:
You'll have to wait until your hands get stronger to be able to make complex chords in the lower frets, assuming you are a beginner. It would be nice if there was a second tone control, but it's not necessary. It's easy to tune, but you will have to tune it every three days or so.
Support:
Never needed to call anyone.
Overall:
I will only keep this is bass until I learn to play. Once I have learned to play, I will get a better one. The rest I will keep until I decide I need something new or they wear out or break.

8 out of 10Overall:
My son and some friends decided to start a band. And instead of paying out the crater for a rig, I settled on the jumpstart package...and I'm glad I did. I started out just replacing the strings(ghs bass boomers), next thing I know...I played for 2 hours. The neck is fast and created for smaller hands. Good for starters. A little messing around with the tone\volumes to get a clean sound, it's worth it's weight next to heavy hitters like ESP, Squier,...etc. If you're starting out or experienced on a budget, I highly recommend this package. You won't be disappointed.

10 out of 10Feature:
The tuner is awesome and the picks are durable, but the gig bag is kind of cheap.
Quality:
It is really shiny :)
Value:
You get tons for less than 300$
Desirability:
It is shiny :) and pretty :)
Sound:
The guitar itself sounds great. Yet, the amp gets fuzzy at times.
Support:
I'm sure its good...someone told me Ibanez was good..so they must be.
Overall:
It has an awesome price for so much

8 out of 10Feature:
yeah, it included a tuner, which i really don't like, headphones that pick up the bass sound really nice with a 1/4in. adapter so that you can use them for what you want, strap that is decent, starter cord that could be better, nice gigbag, and some picks i don't use them but i'm sure they're good.
Quality:
the product looks good and isn't scratched or anything and it seems like its going to last awhile.
Value:
i think the price is reasonable and you get what you pay for
Desirability:
there really is no sex appeal really but i like the black one
Sound:
it seems to sound deep and dark, but it picks up the higher tones better with the amp it comes with until you hook it up to a better amp.
Support:
i haven't had to deal with repairs or anything like that
Overall:
i expect to stay satisfied with this bass for awhile and i did play a nice fender jazz bass before but i had to give that back to the school so i had to buy my own and i'm a poor college student :)

"everything you need to start" nothing else to be said
Quality:
I have put this bass through hell. I have hit the top of the neck against my spinning fan.. twice, banged it against the wall many times, scratched it, spilt stuff on it and dropped it like 3 times. ALL accidently :) AND YET this bass plays just as great as ever!
Value:
Its a pretty fair price... should be a bit cheaper but it is still worth it.
Desirability:
As soon as i saw it, I knew that was it.
Sound:
This bass has awsome sound sound but I replaced the srting shortly after I got it thats all I would suggest.
Support:
Havent delt with them
Overall:
Fantastic product, had it for about a year and a half and still use it.

10 out of 10Feature:
not too many special things.. the dvds cool itll inspire you when you watch him play :) it doesnt come with the coooolest stuff though
Quality:
again the bass and all is GREAT but those cords are horrrrible... the amps good for a 10 watt its loud but not loud enough for a band thats for sure.
oh and the amp the power chord outlet thingy always comes loose i hate that bout it
Value:
GREAT you can get a gsr200 which is almost exactly the same for 200 with this set only 100 more you get an amp, gig bag, strap, picks, cords etc its worth it.. the one in the set is a gsr190 but only difference i see is the color of the head. the gsr190 is wood grain the gsr200 is black i think
Desirability:
its a great lookin bass its beautiful the paintjob is really nice and everything i love the tuner nob style too
Sound:
its just like the ibanez gsr200 its great... sounds good but the cords it comes with SUCK they give you 2 and both of mine are ruined. well thy work sometimes but after like 6 months theyll stop its weird. the amps good for starting but im saving for a new one right now. itll really get you going im in a band right now and weve already played a show... i used someone elses amp though of course
Support:
never had any probs cept those cords but its not worth gettinhelp for
Overall:

9 out of 10Feature:
Useful, everything you need to learn to play bass guitar.
Quality:
Being new to the bass I am no expert but the sound is great and the finish quality on the instrument is nice.
Value:
I looked at this and the Fender Squire starter bass package. Though the fender did have a more powerful amp, this package included more goodies like headphones (so you can play and not bother anyone), an electronic tuner, etc. for about $30 less. And the CD that comes with the package is perfect for someone who has never played, like myself. Within a short amount of time I was playing and it didn't sound too bad. Gerald Veasley instructs the video and does an excellent job for your first blues type playing and some major/minor notes.
Desirability:
I have the red model, very nice looking, clean design with good color.
Overall:
I'd give this a ten but not sure if there is something better out there. I just know that for the money you get a nice bass with a decent souding amp and some extra goodies that will get you playing in a short amount of time.

9 out of 10Feature:
You do, in fact, receive 'everything you'll need to get started' and then some. The only things I'd change are the strap and instrument cable, as both are obviously low-cost components. Considering the overall quality of the rest of the gear, they were mildly disappointing.
Quality:
The guitar is excellent, sporting first-rate construction and a high standard of fit/finish throughout. While it was very well set up from the factory, I'd prefer better strings. Most of the other supplies are very well put together as well, with the cheap-feeling cable and strap being the only things keeping me from giving the product a '10' in this category.
Value:
The bass alone would likely cost you over $200 (it's almost directly comparable to the Ibanez GSR200 bass at ~$220), so getting it along with an $70 amp, $30 gigbag and $10 tuner for less than $300 is a pretty solid deal.
Desirability:
The bass itself is dead sexy, especially for those that are bored of P/J-Bass copies. I shopped around and considered a number of value packages and separate basses and amps in the $200-350 price range, but found myself coming back to the GSR series, and particularly the GSR200 and JSB190 package.
Sound:
Nice growling lows and ringing highs from the guitar with good sustain, all easily adjusted using the volume/tone knobs. Very clean sound overall, with no buzzing or humming. I'd strongly recommend replacing the the strings installed on the guitar itself, though.
The amp lacks punch throughout it's limited range, but serves well for practicing. Nobody would gig with a 10W amp, so it wouldn't exactly be fair to judge it on that basis, but as a practice box, it's perfect and plenty loud enough.
Support:
No idea. Something has to fail to work properly for me to call support.
Overall:
The guitar is definitely a keeper -- I can't imagine needing much more from a bass for quite some time. The amp will likely serve as a practice box for quite a while as well. It's the total package for those starting out, and gives the beginning bassist a good set of tools to start honing their craft.

9 out of 10Feature:
Darn good for the money.
2 pickups with independent volume controls. Slim, fast neck.
I would change the strings. The buzz some - especially the E string.
Quality:
As I said earlier, I would change those strings. Also you might invest in a new patch cord. Use the one that comes with it as a replacement - maybe. Everything else was just pure perfection. Go to your local guitar shop and check it out first, if you don\'t believe me. This thing is awesome. You\'ll see.
Value:
I don\'t think anyone puts together a better \"beginner\'s\" base. The neck is fast and furious. It has 2 sets of pickups. The finishes are really sweet (I bought the black one). Hey, topflite professionals use this thing. Buy one!
Desirability:
Guitars should appeal to you like women. This bass does. It is sleek, well put together, curvy in all the right spots, and makes you feel good holding it. I had to have it.
Sound:
You can all kinds of tone through this thing - punchy metal, slappy funk, light jazz.
Overall:
I\'ll be playing this one for a while. I\'ve investigated the Yamahas and Fenders (other reasonably affordable stuff). They just aren\'t as cool as the Ibanez. If I should ever have to replace it. I\'m gettin\' another Ibanez.
