Quality:
this guitar is solid the only thing i wory about is the dials seem to be a bit scratchy untill i twist them 3 or 4 times?

Value:

Desirability:
started out as a beginner guitar but now i find myself thinking of it as #1 insted of #2. and yea she's sexy

Sound:
well i'v just started playing so i can only say that this guitar rips.Every thing i try seems to be rite.I am trying to get somewere between metal and rock so i went out and picked up another guitar it's a fender strat but i find myself playing the GRG more often in short THANKS for thinking about the new guitar playing guy or gal!.

Ease of Use:
8 is only cause i'm new and have alot to learn however the harmonics come alive with a little distortion.the sustain on this guitar is every bit as good as my fender set neck.

Feature:
Features are pretty good. The volume and tone controls are very very good. It came with a tremolo which works pretty well but there's not much more than that. It doesn't really matter though the guitar is amazing and doesn't need any features

Quality:
Amazing quality everything has worked amazing for years. The only thing is the cable jack. The nut comes a little loose every now and then but overall the guitar is put together very well.

Value:
Incredible! Definitely worth the buy! I would pay more for this guitar in a heartbeat!

Desirability:
Very nice lookin' guitar especially in the blue! Shivers went down my spine when I 1st saw it in person! =]

Sound:
I couldn't have asked for a better guitar! This guitar's sound is extremely good especially when hooked up to a digitech rp150 processing pedal. I thought that I could get better sound by switching out the pu's but I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! The pu's the guitar came with are amazing!!!

Ease of Use:
Extremely easy to use. Just plug and play. The neck feels AMAZING too!

Support:
Never needed it.

Overall:
This is an AMAZING GUITAR!!! If your gonna buy a guitar soon by this one cause I've seen much more expensive guitars for less quality. It's definitely worth the buy!

Feature:
Has all the "bells and whistles" that I need. The hardware seems of good quality. The tuners are good, however the tremelo system in my opinion is not up to par. The guitar always goes out of tune when using the whammey bar. I will take it in to get it looked at. It just may need tweeking i.e. spring changes to get it right. Based on my experiance with low/mid/ and high end guitars, this guitar overall is of better quality then I have seen from other makers in this price range.

Quality:
Othet than the tremelo system, this guitar is put together well and mine does not have any blemishes or loose parts. I am surprised of the quality despite this thing being made in Indonesia.(Which I did not know until after I bought it and took it home). As with any guitar, if it is taken care of, it will last. This thing was set up well right out of the box. The only thing I did was change the strings.

Value:
In my judgement, this guitar is well worth the money. A good quality guitar for the money

Desirability:
I have the Candy Apple Red and with the shark tooth inlays, this is a sharp looking guitar. I bought this guitar as an extra to play. I dont like playing the same guitar day after day.

Sound:
2 Humbuckers and one single coil. Good sound in various switch positions, from clear to distorted. For my playing style, the pickups work well.

Ease of Use:
The neck on this guitar is by far the easiest to play on out of all my guitars, including my American Stratocaster. I would highly recommend this guitar for anybody that is on a budget. Plug it in to a good amp, and it will stand right up and even pass most in the same price range.

Support:
Not needed so far but their web site is full of info

Overall:
I am satisfied with this guitar. I'm dissipointed with the tremelo system, but I'll see after a professional set-up and adjustment. I will probably buy a higher end Ibanez(this is my second Ibanez. My current income allows me to pretty much buy any high end model I want, but I am impressed with this guitar and the Ibanez line. The only other guitar that I would consider in this price range would be a Shecter. I have had one(Gryphon) and the hardware such as the bridge and tuners are brand name on most models, but this Ibanez guitar is a very good choice for anyone.

Feature:
The Tremelo is ok, it was missing 2 springs which messed it up when changing the strings for the first time. The trem almost left the body, cuz i use thick strings and strange tunings i guess. so i put 2 extra springs but the action feels to tight. so i took out 1 to make it a both ways kinda trem. it would be better if it was like a floyd rose, or atleast a knock off.

Quality:
It ain't broke yet, but turning the tone knob all the way is almost like an off button.

Value:
It's a 9 cuz my rg321 is my first guitar, this is my second. and my only for the modem.

Desirability:
The inlay is what got me. but its well worth a pickup change and that turns it to a champion.

Sound:
It sounds good stock. Nice thick sound. it sounds better with a Duncan Rail. Even better with the Dimarzio Evolution. Better than that with the Bill Lawrence L500XL. Best with all 3

Support:
Haven't had to call them, but then again, its an Ibanez. You don't have to.

Overall:
I didn't go looking for it, but its worth it. i wouldn't have anything less

Feature:
Unfortunatly this guitar may have a whammy-bar compatible tremolo but it does not come with a whammy-bar, so go to your nearest Ibanez dealer and get yourself one, it is worth the money. The thing I find neatest about this guitar is that no matter how much I abuse that whammy and the tremolo it never goes dramaticly out of tune! I went about 5 days with the factory strings not tuning it and it was barely off, so i spent 3 mins and tuned it up using the chromatic tuner built into the Peavey Vypyr Amp and away I went. The one complaint I do have about the tremolo is that it doesn't pull the note back as far as some of the higher priced Ibanez.

Quality:
The quality of this guitar is amazing, but I would recomend carrying a micro-fiber cloth around with it in the case to keep the smudges, fingerprints, and dust off that nice shiny mirror finish. When I got it the strings were very crappy, but until they break or you personally see that they need changing I have found no reason other than to keep the tuning better to change them. I believe this is a very dependable guitar, the tuners fit nice and snug, the volume and tone knobs are on very nicely and spin very easily, the neck is very well attached for a bolt-on, and I have had no trouble with the hardware what so ever.

Value:
This guitar is very much worth its price, I mean it is a intermediate level guitar for $250, its finish is amazing and I have failed to find anything wrong with it so far.

Desirability:
The first time I saw this guitar in the zZounds magizine(go figure) it caught my eye. But of course I am like "250 dollars, that is a lot of money"(I make $10 a week doing chores) but I saw that christmas was rolling around and made a deal with my parents that I would help pay for it. So I found the candy apple red version of this guitar at my local Ibanez dealer and flipped out, it was amazing so I took it back to their amp room plugged it in and played. Even the candy apple red version has the mirror finish on it, that is how I actually reconized it. The pick-ups also drew my attention, the fact that the Stratocaster and the SG had two humbuckers and then this beast has two humbuckers and a single coil with a 5-way pick-up switch I thought "OMG!" and went straight for it. Pretty much this is another one of Ibanez's amazing products with their amazing finishes and all, but the Black night is by far my favorite.

Sound:
This guitar contains some of the most amazing pick-ups for the price. I have played the 1200 dollar Stratocaster, the 1400 dollar version of the Gibson SG and this guitar is the only one of those three that can match the sound I want. The best part is because of the 5-way pick-up selector once I dial in my EQ on the amp will allow that sound to be produced in 5 different manners. The sound even without an amp is amazing, again using the Stratocaster and SG as an example this guitar produced a much better sound than either of those two.

Ease of Use:
I find it very easy to get great sound out of the GRG170DX, all you need to do is find yourself your favorite pick-setting, screw around with your amp's EQ a bit and you can get any sound from screeching death metal, all the way to a soft rock in a matter of seconds. There is a slight learning curve with this guitar because of the position of the pick-up selector, if you overstrum you might catch the switch a little moving it to the bottom humbucker, but after playing it for a few hours you should be just fine.

Support:
I can make no comment on support due to the fact for as long as I have owned the GRG170DX I have had no need for the customer support from Ibanez. Although I have heard that it is very good.

Overall:
I expect to be satisfied with this guitar for many years to come and do not expect to upgrade for a while.(being until my skills overrule this guitar) And when I do upgrade I plan to get the newest RG there is. So you have the GRG(little brother) and the RG(big brother). If my guitar was ever stolen I would first of all hunt down the person who did it and have them fined and put in jail. But depending on the amount of money I have, I would either 1: Get the same guitar ordered directly from Ibanez or 2: Get the RG above it. This guiatr has met my musical standards and beyond, especialy noticable when I dissed the Stratocaster and the Gibson SG up above and in store. Which the only good thing that Fender makes is strap locks, that is my opinion. Gibson I cannot get the sound I want out of the two humbuckers and the Stratocaster you cannot get the humbucking sound out of those single-coils.

Feature:
Its a basic guitar with a floating bridge so u can pull back on it to raise the pitch of the note but the volume pot is not that great it the level of the sound wont change much when using it so its not that great for volume swells the tuners are nice aswell

Quality:
greatest quality guitar i have seen for the price

Value:
for $250 this is the greatest guitar you could buy i even liked it better than some of the RG series that i tried out

Desirability:
i got it in red and the finish, shape, and inlays are SEXY i have been focused on this for the two weeks before i got it

Sound:
I have herd bad things about the pickups but i have to say i am very impressed they are not muddy at all very nice sound for passive pickups. Its great for all types of music

Ease of Use:
Very simple guitar thin strong neck no locking tremolo but because of the bridge you will have trouble keeping it in tune for a few hours after changing the strings

Support:
i have not had to deal with them but i have only herd good things

Overall:
if it was stolen i would get another one i was very impressed with it

Feature:
for the price, it's an amazing deal. 3 pick-ups. 24 frets. built for playing.

Quality:
I've had no problems. paint doesn't flake. nothing wobbles.

Value:
best in class. lots of options, great guitar.

Desirability:
I've got it in deep blue. My guitar is very pretty. I named her Isabella (bella in italian means beautiful). the shark tooth fretboard inlays are ugly and ibanez should never use the again. if i ever send the guitar in to be repaired I will have the inlay changed.

Sound:
An effective electric guitar. Great for beginners. Buy this and play the crap out of it until you find your sound. By then you'll be ready to buy you're pro-level $500+ guitar. 3 pick-ups and a tone knob give you plenty of options for practicing. I would have no qualms taking this onstage, the pickups and build quality are great.

Ease of Use:
simple design, the way a guitar should be built.

Overall:
Great value. Great features. If you're beginner to intermediate, buy it. Experiment with it. Have fun.
