I Own, And Have Played Les Paul's, Stratocaster's, And Just About Everything In Between. Back In 82, I Purchased A "DESTROYER 2", As My First Real Guitar. The Thing I Liked About It Was The Looks, And That Very Distinctive "TONE ZONE" Distortion Sound (One Of A Kind). I Was Talked Into Trading It For A Gibson SG. Mistake... Oh Well, I Told Myself I Would Just Go Out, And Get Another Destroyer. SURPRISE! They Didn't Make Them Anymore. Bummer, Limited Item At That Time. 30 Years, And Multiple Guitars Later SURPRISE!!! "Honey I'm Home". I Saw It Listed At ZZOUNDS. I Could Have Purchased One At Guitar Whatever Here In Cleveland, But It Had Gold Hardware Like My Old Destroyer Had. I Didn't Then, And Do Not Now, Care For Gold Hardware On A Guitar. It Wears Off, Like Really Fast. Speaking Of Really Fast. The Neck On This Guitar Is Second To None For Shredding. JUMBO Fret's, And All. The Neck Has That Perfect Feel For Playing Long Hours. Sound Wise. If You Know How To use The Volume, Tone, And Pickup Selector Correctly. You Can Safely Consider Yourself A "Highly Dangerous Man", In Any Room, COUNTRY, Or WESTERN. Yes It Does Just Fine With The Clean Sound. Don't Forget, You've Got An AIR NORTON Pickup On The Bridge. SWEET. If I Only Had One Thing I Would Change. The Destroyer 2 Had Coil Splitting For The "TONE ZONE" Pickup On The Bridge. I Never Used It Anyway. All That Being Said. If I Only Had One Guitar To Choose From To Go Into Battle, On Any Stage. The Destroyer Is My Weapon Of Choice. Trust Me, I Know First Hand. They Don't Call It The Destroyer For Nothing!
