Just received this from zZounds.com, one day early after ordering on black Friday. Right out of the package it was ready to play, all strung up and in tune, battery included. This is an absolute beauty! I love ibanez's exotic wood guitars, and as soon as I saw this one I just had to have it! The finish is flawless, the satin neck feels great while playing, action is good, and the spalted maple with walnut is just absolutely gorgeous! The maple inlays on the 12th fret look great, and the overall feel of the guitar is perfect, in my opinion. It's a little thinner than your average acoustic, and although I have yet to plug it in and hear it, it sounds great unplugged. It's got a nice, crisp, bold sound. Not too bassey, not too sharp. Just great. For a good, mid-priced guitar, you can't beat it! It could easily go for hundreds more. Grab one while you still can, limited production =}
Sound
I love how it sounds, nice and crisp, bold, carries well. Coming from a thinner acoustic it sounds amazing.
Features
The built in equalizer and tuner are great, very easy to use, and comes with a battery included, so you can play right out of the box. I love the woods aesthetically, and the black tuners and pegs looks amazing. Nice satin finish on the neck for comfortable, smooth playability, and the extra bridge, peg, and Allen key are a nice extra bonus.
Ease of Use
This is so easy to use, it would make a great beginner guitar or a nice addition to the seasoned players collection. There is nothing you have to do before playing right out of the box. It comes with a battery so you can tune it up and play right away :)
Quality
It seems pretty solid, and well made. Nothing loose or damaged out of the box. Judging by the first impression, I think it will last a long time. Hopefully forever.
Value
By far. I think this could easily be a $1000 guitar. It looks and feels amazing, and I honestly prefer it over others i have played in the past which cost a lot more.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to contact Ibanez for any support yet, but I did register the warranty, which was easy.
The Wow Factor
This is, by far, one of the most beautiful acoustics I've seen in a long time. The looks made it jump out at me, and stands out from any others I've seen. Apart from a past mangowood exotic wood Ibanez, I think this is the most appealing and beautiful guitar I've seen, yet.
