Feature:
The "-1" (which I had) had no tuner, no 3-pin jack & no strap-pin on the heel. The replacement (a "-2") had all these & used 2 AA batteries to power the active electronics instead of a 9v.
Quality:
The replacement seems to have better bracing. My original instruemnt (the "-1") was pretty flimsy.
Value:
See "Ease of Use" above. I generally buy guitars to make music, not to be a show-off. Likewise, I buy cars to get places, not to compensate for some shortcoming. I drive a Saturn, not a BMW. Likewise, I play an Ibanez, not a Breedlove.
Desirability:
This guitar looks great.
Sound:
They tend to really accentuate the higher-end frequencies. They really cut through, but at the expense of warmth.
Ease of Use:
It's a guitar. It's worth the $349.00. If you want a better guitar, buy a Taylor, Martin or Breedlove. But you'll dish out the bucks for those.
Support:
Yes, I needed service; I had an identical instrument for 4 years & there was a problem with the bridge pulling up. After paying a technician a $25 "bench fee" for his trouble, buying $25 worth of packing materials & shipping it back UPS to Hoshino USA (another $30,) I got a brand new one. The only reason why this got a "9" instead of a "10" was because I'm out $80 to obtain a warranty replacement. Still, I got it quickly & with no questions asked.
Overall:
Again, It's Just A Guitar. I Have the "TBS" (Transparent Blue Sunburst) & I Like The Finish On It.
