Sound: The sound from the 2-10" speakers are punchy and so clear. I play an Ibanez 5-string through it and the low B sounds so great and not flat. It's 250 watts of pure solid thump! And the 7-graphic eq makes dialing in your tone so easy. You can play classic rock to country to r&b and anything in between on this bad boy! Even when turned up at around 200 watts it still has clarity and doesn't rattle. Feature: Best features on here is...everything. The bass attack overdrive section is great. It can make your sound turn from soft to gritty and it isn't over-done. And of course Hartkes Shape feature is great. Gives a nice sound curve. Ease of Use: The manual is great. Explains everything to get your started and gives you tips on how to dial in to certain sounds. Even has a section where you can write down your own custom setting. Quality: This thing is built like a tank and not that heavy (71 lbs I think). The new speaker designs make it lighter. When I unboxed it there were no problems. No dents, scratches or knicks. And the metal grill is cool looking. Value: Let's face it we all know 99% of the time you get what you pay for. This is a mid-priced amp thats worth EVERY PENNY. And it has Hartke quality! If Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and many others use them you know they are awesome! Manufacturer Support: I gave it a 10 but to be honest I never have had to deal with their support system (knock on wood) which is a good thing! I been playing Hartke for years. The Wow Factor: It's big and sexy. Overall: I expect this to last me years. My other Hartke amps have. I bought this to upgrade. You can achieve so much with this amp an you can depend on it.

Sound: The sound is gorgeous; crystal clear, with tons of depth and power to spare: a volume level of "3" is loud enough to rattle the windows in my studio. I can't imagine any small-to-medium-sized venue that this amp couldn't handle, with headroom to spare. Feature: The variety of tones you can get with the built-in compressor, shape, overdrive, and eq is amazing. And if you need more than that, there's an effects send. Two other nice pro features are the balanced XLR out (with selectable pre or post signal routing) and the ground lift switch. Ease of Use: The amp sounds great right out of the box with all tone controls totally flat, and there's a card on the top of the bass when you first open it up with 3 suggested sets of settings for the various tome controls to make rock, slap, and r&b tones - these show you pretty much all you need to know about the tone controls to dial in your own sound. And if they don't, the owner's manual walks you through all the settings in detail. Quality: The amp looks and feels rock solid; I'm sure it will last for years. Value: No question about it. In fact, the difference between this amp and other amps I've owned and heard at this price point is night and day. If I'd had to pay $900 or $1,000 for it, I still would have thought I got a great deal. At just over $600, it's a steal. Manufacturer Support: I haven't had any reason to contact the company so far. The Wow Factor: The wow factor to this amp is the sound; it's just astounding. Overall: By far the best bass amp I've ever had (in the interest of full disclosure, this is only the third bass amp I've ever had - before this, I had a Fender Rumble 150 and an Ampeg Micro VR Half Stack - I'm still pretty new to playing the bass; I was a professional bass trombonist and vocalist for over 20 years, but my smoking finally caught up with me, and I don't have the wind to perform professionally on bass trombone or voice any more).

Sound: The amp has a ton of tone options. I've had contour controls on other amps but none that have the variation that this one does. The overdrive section seems a little weak and I couldnt really find the sweet spot for this channel. The onboard compressor seems pretty quiet and to me is very useful. The tweeter has a 3 position switch and seems really noisy in all positions but off. I've never had a tweeter in any of my amps before but I understand that this is common to most. Feature: I thought that the greatest feature would be that it has a footswitchable contour and overdrive. But, good luck finding the recommended pedal from Hartke. I cant find one on line and they dont even mention it on their "official" website. The RCA input is nice for practicing. Just plug in your MP3 player and play along. Ease of Use: I'm used to the tone of my Ampeg SVT2 and 810 cab. Its the closest sound to the one in my head but I got tired of lugging all of that equipment around. It doesnt sound like the Ampeg but it does sound nice. Again, the versatility in tone that you can dial up is worth noting. Quality: The amp seems really well built. If you read the description of the amp they do emphasize this. However, I discovered as I unpackaged it from the factory box mine was shipped with the amp section so loose in the cabinet that it nearly fell out. The Tolex covering was peeled away at every seam. Not just a little, but actually peeled back to the point that the tolex was curling. Apparently the quality control at Hartke is much less than desired. Value: If I hadnt recieved the amp half put together I would say absolutley. I hope mine was only an exception of their quality and not the rule. Manufacturer Support: I'll give them the benefit of doubt. I havent attempted to deal with them yet. Hopefully, I wont have to. The Wow Factor: I do like the compact size and the tilt back feature. Superficially, the amp is also very attractive to look at.

Overall: Hi all; I recently bought the Hartke HyDrive 210C and was blown away by the clarity in the lower redister of the the Bass. I play a Ibanez SR506, and an Gibson RD77. I own a Peavey 700 Fire Bass Amp with -10" and a Peavey Combo with 1-15" speaker. Both of these Amps sound great but every time I move them they get heavier......lol I love the light weight with a full sound/present with great Mid's & Hi's.
