No cab is perfect but this cab will make your bass be heard over the rest of the band.Something about aluminuim speakers brings out a punch in the bass that no other speaker can do.If you play metal to country and jazz,Hartke will give you great tone!Get this cab.

Not the same speakers as the XL series cabs, but they deliver beautifully. My first Cab, it handles small venues at low volumes with execptional low end and clarity. My only knock is that tends to break up somewhat at higher volumes across the low strings(I play a 5 string Hartke Bass)top end is really nice though. There is no better value for the money.

I recently purchased a Hartke 4x10 transporter and it is great. I was on a budget and at first I thought I would have to settle for Hartke because of the price. However, I eventually bought Hartke gear because of the great sound. Would have to spend twice as much to get something that sounds this good. The lows, mids, and highs are all there. It is a very versatile cab for a bass player even though it has no horn and is pretty simple. All in all the Hartke 4x10 transporter cab and Hartke HA3500 head I bought continue to surprise and impress me as well as my bandmates. It won my hard earned cash over other such brands as Peavey, G&K, Trace Elliot, and SWR.

The Hartke tone is amazing. These cabinets are powerhouses that can take the punishment of high wattage, without compromising sound quality. Just can't say enough about the tone and attack.

This cab gives you the best bang for the buck but I doubt it really handles 300 watts at 8 ohms because I use it with a 200 watt head at 8 ohms and when I put the volume past 3 the cab loses clarity. Anyways, its still sufficient for small to mid size clubs. I just like very loud amps and cabs. The tone at lower volumes is superb. You can't find a better cab for 400 bucks.

This is a great sounding cabinet. I'm using it with a Hartke 2000 amp and it is a perfect combination. Excellent for highs and it has the right amount of low.
