With a fully hollow body and closer, "Cavern" pickup spacing, this Hofner bass is a great value for players who seek the classic '70s violin bass sound.

Tried this bass cause I wanted to get as close to an upright sound with an electric. I'm telling you all this bass hits that thump! Price is right on the money too, don't underestimate this guitars ability to reach any tone you're searching for. You're gonna find it. I use my setup at small bars and clubs for 50's rock n roll and I fill out the bottom end very clean in a trio. The pickup spacing with full hollowbody and the spruce block makes this baby warm and greasy. Oh, love that Hofner switch panel, Hofner makes a superb instrument.

Love this bass for the half dozen Beatles tunes we do. This is the original model "Cavern Bass" that Sir Paul McCartney played!
