solid pedal
Sound
This pedal creates some great reverbs that are very controllable. You can go from subtle fender spring to really ambient spacey sounds without any tone loss of your original signal. The Modulation creates some dreamy textures that really take you for a ride. And true bypass is great.
Features
Simple to operate and figure out. The brightness know lets you shape the reverb to exactly how you like it. And gives you some variation that a lot of other verbs don't have.
Ease of Use
4 knobs, pretty easy.
Quality
Very solid pedal. I own the DL8 also and these are big heavy pedals built to last. Never owned a Digitech product before but these seem tough and pro quality.
Value
A little on the pricey side but worth it. Just as good as any boutique out there.
Manufacturer Support
No support needed yet.
The Wow Factor
Really adds to my tone. Thickens up the mix where needed and adds a dimension to my sound I didn't have before.

I have a Holy Grail Plus which I really liked at first but it is noisy at times and I kind of wondered why it was so highly rated. I do home recording and I am subject to some noise in the process. One day I tried out the Hardwire RV-7 on a whim and I could not believe how quiet and rich sounding it is. I did hear it at first in stereo which is impressive but after buying it an going mono with it, I am still impressed. I think there is room for keeping the Holy Grail Plus but I think I'll be using the RV-7 pedal much more. The sounds are impressive and Lexicon quality. This one is a sleeper but a keeper!

"One Of The Best Reverbs You Can Buy.................."

It's an exceptional pedal in every way beginning with the Lexicon Reverb algorithms. My personal preference is for the Room and Plate Reverbs but this pedal also does one of the best emulations of a spring reverb I've heard and the Hall Reverb is very effective with an acoustic. The quality of the build itself is also second to none. These pedal were made to last and I've begun using several more Hardwire pedals as a result of my satisfaction with this one. So I'm very pleased with the RV-7 and with the service and fast shipment I always receive from zZounds. Although I've never had to ask for support from the manufacturer I'll give them a 5 star rating on the basis of their thought to include a number of useful accessories with the pedal such as the shaped Velcro to mount the pedal and a Stomp-Blok to prevent any inadvertent change in the settings while performing. The pedal is also extremely well packed for shipment and includes a detailed manual of operations and specs.

"Incredible Reverb Unit. Be sure to buy the power supply, because it's a battery hog!"

Barring some unforseen accident, Iexpect to own and use this product for a LONG TIME.
Sound
I bought this unit to sweeten up the paino sounds on my synths...they just sounded to thin. This pedal brought my Grand Pianos to life! I could tell immediately that I had made the right choice. I will most likely leave the unit set to HALL. It not only fattens up and sweetens my piano sounds, EVERYTHING sounds more alive with the RV-7.
Features
Should have included power supply...it's like buying a printer with no printer cable. It's not like it's optional, really.
Ease of Use
Very easy to understand the controls.
Quality
EXCELLENT Reverbs.
Value
I'd give it a 10, if the power supply were included.

The RV-7 is top quality, pro grade pedal. It becomes a natural part of the guitar. Even with the dials cranked up nearly full, there is nothing strange about the sound, it's very usable. Forget about the video demos out there, try it out yourself. The box comes loaded with accessories, the jacs and power hook up is precision made, and the dials work snugly.
