Guild Starfire IV Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Case

Head back to the early '60s with this extra-thin semi-hollowbody electric. It's comfortable to play and sounds incredible, thanks to Guild Anti-Hum pickups.

I was happy with the packaging and the speed with which this guitar was delivered. Unfortunately there were a number of issues: The bridge was not in the correct position and still had the protective packaging under the bridge. I tried to change out the strings but discovered that the chrome on the tailpiece was over applied and once a string was removed you could not get a new string in the hole. I had to take the guitar to a luthier which increased my cost by $200.00 to have a properly set up guitar. Disappointing!

Musical Background:

I have been playing guitar for 50 years. I also play a little bass and some keyboard

I got this guitar in 1968! Has a great sound for that 60's sound, Shames, Byrds, garage bands...Bridge floats so it moves when changing strings. Love the humbucking pickups...Is a bit bulky and big for the stage...Has open end tuners so I replaced them with Grovers,,, You always remember your 1st electric guitar!!

Musical Background:

been playing guitar for 49 years,,,prefer acoustic, try to sing

Musical Style:

blues ,rock country,,,,like certain artist,,,, just play now for fun!!!
