Sound: The 3 pick-up, 6 position switch allows for all the classic SG tones plus some fine others! Played thru a Traynor YCV50 Blue, this guitar sounds amazing. Classic 59's and a 59' Plus in the bridge make it sing. Great depth, headroom and vintage Gibson sounds galour! The six way rotary switch is fast and easy to use. Warm creamy distortion when driven with great harmonics and clarity. Very nice overall. Feature: Gibson still builds great guitars. As a long time Fender player (30 years) I find the quality of the Gibsons to be superior to Fender's. Every thing from the control knobs to the inlays and finish is beautiful. Even the Case is quality. Tone/volume/selector are all top quality. Gold plated hardware and gloss finish is flawless. 61' style pick-guard looks better to me as well. Ease of Use: This is a very comfortable guitar to play. Light and well balanced. Hey the SG was the replacment for the Les Paul (which for me is uncomfortable if your playing live for any length of time). I personally prefer the control set-up on the SG-3 to that on my SG standard, it's less busy and once you figure out the 6 pos. switch, it's fast to change pu combinations. Being use to Fender controls, this set-up is closer to what I'm use to.I like to leave the volume the same and don't feel a need to mix tone/vol of the pickups anyway. Quality: Gibson makes great guitars. They are warrantied for life. This is a great looking guitar and sounds even better! Value: A 3 pick-up SG with 59's and vintage 61 looks for $1499, it seems like a great deal to me!!! Manufacturer Support: Answered a few questions I had in a timley manner. The Wow Factor: I can't put this guitar down. There is a reason that the SG has been around since 1961, like the Strat and Les Paul, it's truly a marvel!! Overall: The three PU's add a new dimension to a fine classic. This will be with me for a long, long time. I love it!!

Sound: Yea sound quality is pretty amazing, ive tried to stay out of the hypnotic light of the Gibson name when assesing this guitar, but after 2 months i have to say its pretty special. I love the warmth and strength of the sound and the solidity of construction does work in applying tone and sustain. Feature: Got a hard case which is pretty special in its own right beautiful plush fluffy lining and very rigid construction, with nice ergonomic carrying handle. Ease of Use: VVVVEEEEERRRRYYYY playable. Nice and juicy under hand and comfortable on the lap or on the shoulder nicely balanced. Quality: Ive given it a 9 just cos a couple of the fret wires buzz a bit so i cant get it quite as low as i wanted right out the box. I have fiddled a bit and got it 10 % lower but would like another 10 % really. All other parts are superb and feel like they are made to last, Even if you are thinking about buying one you probably already know you should...! Its a GGIIBBSSOONN , oh those bright lights again.. lol. Value: Well i paid £900 which was worth the money i feel, but i think the other prices of 1200 are abit steep although if you have plenty wonga it is certainly worth a look at even 2000 i feel, though money was always a considered aspect for me. All in all its worth any price to get a beautifully made guitar that will serve you for years. Manufacturer Support: Cant say how good it is in all honesty but i did request some info before i got the guitar and they never replied, so. The Wow Factor: Wooooaaahhh! Dont get anything else for sex appeal, its a real head turner and not gimmicky in any way. I got cherry red and when the fretboard was oiled with flax it looked the absolute business. Overall: I dont think i will ever tire of this although i would like to get a Gretch at some point for that extra warm tone of a semi, but as a solid it does what it says on the tin (SG-Solid Guitar)

Sound: it's an all around guitar great for old metal like ozzy, metallica... it feels small witch helps when your sweeping to get the clearest sweeps possible. the only problem is the harmonics... Ease of Use: good manual Quality: awesome Value: needs emg's and locking nut The Wow Factor: very nice Overall: love it like a brother
